How many torn/ripped Axys tracks this year?

It looks like the answer may be to fully clip the track. Mine is at the dealer and they agree that it looks like premature wear. Hope Polaris agrees.

I think there is many on here that hope they do agree- cause we are going to be next in-the long line if they do...I asked my dealer to check last week and no return as of yet.

would be swapping to a power claw 2.6 be as easy as just swapping drivers to 3.0 pitch and putting the new track on?

will it fit without any other mods?

How is the durability of the x3? That's the direction I'm planning on going probably after next year

I'm not completely certain that the powerclaw is any more durable.. I've had issues with it this winter, and after digging around apparently I'm not the only one.

No, you'll need 153" custom rails. It worked on the pro but not the axys unfortunately. It's very close.

Here are some more detailed pics of mine at the 1500 mile mark...

A few pics of my drivers as well. Anyone elses look like this too?

I have been very diligent in keeping my trails speeds under 50mph & running the scratchers whenever I can unless in powder. Track looks like new still. Fingers crossed

Two different issues being discussed here. Missing lugs and the unusual wear in the non-clipped windows. My lugs are pristine( I ride on snow) but the wear on the windows looks just like the pics posted above. I've never seen anything like that before.

Also noticed some weird wear marks on my rails (both sides) right after the sliders end...

Does anyone with a 3 inch track have this wear issue or is it only the 2.6?

I always grind that off on my sleds. Makes yanking the sled off the truck easier too.

I got a 3" track thats worn down to the cord in most of the places on the unclipped spaces. Something is way off and Polaris needs to fix this. :face-icon-small-sad
My rear wheels are also looking like shiet... They've been loosing plastic bits from it all around on both wheels. Alignment & tension have always been spot on so im abit confused...

All the 2.6's in our group look the same as the pics above regarding the premature wear in the window area of the tracks. My friend (who I ride with every weekend) owns a polaris dealership and his 2.6 is also worn just as bad. We met with the regional rep on Friday and talked about the sleds. He rides a dealer demo RMK and the the rep was said he would look into it but did not expect anything would be done by Polaris. We upgrade every year, but It's really unfortunate because I doubt our tracks would make it another season.

my track alignment at the driver was off. some window wear but not as bad as some here. dealer put ticket in with polaris on it and they said it was normal. lol. well its not normal, we all know that.

my take is...they know its bad, probably will fix it on the 17's but 16 guys are gonna get screwed as its a "consumable/wearable item".

btw, i knew something was wack when i was trying to adjust the track and one bolt needed more cranks to get it to run straight on the rails. its out of square. but polaris reply was "thats normal".

look at the pics and tell me that its normal for track to rub tunnel on one side and 3/4" gap on other? maybe i'm clueless and this isn't that big of deal.

What exactly needs to be done to fix this issue? Is it just a matter of sliding the drivers over left or right on the shaft? I have zero miles on my sled unfortunately and would like to fix it myself before the wear happens. Thanks

That's the same answer I received after my deal installed a new drive shaft and drivers and it did not correct the problem. Made it better but did not correct it. Mine was actually rubbing on the side of the bulkhead. The tech was not happy with poos answer but there was nothing else he could do about it.
