How many mile do you have on your boosted nytro?

R&D. How many miles do you have on your boosted Nytro? I'm just wondering how well the Nytro engine is doing under boost. My friend just had his engine rebuilt in his stock 2012 PRO RMK. It had just under 1500 miles. My turbo Nytro has 2600 miles with 1400 miles under 11 lbs of boost. My supercharged Nytro has 2900 miles with 1700 miles under the same boosted. Let's hear your story.

I have a 08 nytro mtx supercharged 16lbs boost no head shim straight 112octane 2200 miles boosted no problems love the reliability of yamaha

09 nytro mtx boosted w/ mcx 180 kit at 700 miles, ran that upgrade until 1,900 miles then upgraded to the 240 mcx. Now showing 4,400 miles, I'm at sea level running pump gas, no mix. But I do run additives in both my oil and fuel fwiw.

1,000,000 .......or so it seems.:face-icon-small-hap

Seriously though, I have 16,000k on an MCX 270 that I still ride from time to time. Pump Fuel 17lbs of boost @ 6,000'

I don't really worry about mileage on a 4 stroke engine. Its the other chassis stuff that needs more attention.

Happy Boosting.

ps...........I know I have accumulated over 50,000k of Boosted 4 Stroke Mountain sledding since 2003 RX1.........nothing major as far as failures go.:face-icon-small-hap

over 4000 miles on my 2011 nytro with push turbo 8 lbs
also just changed my first belt at 3850 miles.
even my rmk pro doesnt do that good.
Gota Love That Yamee:face-icon-small-hap

09 Nytro 270 MCX, head shim, 18lbs boost, pump fuel no additives. 3574 miles, all under boost

we have seen..

We have seen several with over 10,000km's on them, all boosted and running strong. Best engines on the snow by far!

Just going through the drive and jackshaft bearings on Jimmy's last week, he has 10,125km's on his Nytro, Boosted since day one, just thought he should do some preventative maintinance by replacing the bearings, ..and they were still feeling fine.

16-17 lbs of boost and the engine will last seemingly forever. Stay on top of drive chain adjustments and your clutchs, do your maintinance homework and it will outlast any sled on the market!!

Cheers

8000km mcx 270 running av fuel, basic maintenance.

Header failure, fuel filter plugged, bellow failures, bov replaced, wire on alt sensor rubbed through, had a short in aux power plug and poped fuel pump fuse, valve cover gasket was leaking, charge tube had almost rubbed through, modified stock tunnel bc it sucks.

It has never let me down and I would call most of the above just maintenance issues. I put a new chain and belt on every year. Go through the bearings every 2 years or so depends on how many miles.

Best sled I have ever owned.

That's impressive! Just think, if they were 500 lbs., the other 3 would go out of business in one season.

how many k

4970 Km ish 2 belts and since then ither dropped a valve which i heard happens or cracked a piston in half hard to make full decision but none the less she done. destroyed top to bottom. Was 9.5 to 1 with 3071 turbo @ 15lbs boost above 5000 feet on pump gas. never showed any weakness untill boom.
