How does this work? If I'm signed up on there so I can pay people but I'm not "verified" or whatever can you still have payments sent to you?

yes it just costs a little more if your gonna get 1 or 2 payments it dont matter but if you get a lot its worth it hope I understand what you are asking

Yes you can receive money, Paypal will take a percentage, like about 2 percent. If your account is set up through a bank account then you can transfer the money to your bank account for free (takes a few days) or you can use the money in the account to buy something on eBay or whatever. I have a Paypal debit card so I have instant access to spend the money like I would with any other debit card, they charge another fee to use the card to get cash out.

Ok, so if I just want to receive 2 payments for less than $300 each can paypal CREDIT my credit card I have registered with them less %2 of the purchase price?

And to do that all I have to do is give the buyer my email address and tell paypal that it needs to credit my credit card:confused:

Don't think they will credit a CC ... funds will be in your PayPal account and you can determine whether to leave it there to use for other purchases or you can transfer those funds to your regular bank account you have linked with your PP account. It does take a few days to transfer funds from PP to bank though. Make sure you get your account set up with a "confirmed" address and be "verified". FAQ's on PayPal will explain how to do both.

Also, you can invoice someone for a payment; send to their e-mail address for a payment request.

It's a very very simple process. Give the people who are buying from you the e-mail address your account is setup under and you're basically all set.

The funds will appear in your account and then you can choose a withdrawal method. I always transfer into my bank account because it's free...other methods will cost you a little bit.

I think Paypal's fees are too high but they're a necessary evil if you're going to sell on ebay.

Paypal will not credit to an attached credit card. The money will be in your account and you can have them send you a check or automatic deposit to an attached bank account. I also have a paypal debit card and spend the money in my acct just like a bank acct.

ok they are just gonna have to send me a check or money order this is entirley too much work just to sell two things

ok so if I just "verified" a personal bank account on PayPal can I now receive money?

In case no-one has posted this before: Paypal got trickier when ebay bought them out... if you want to receive money and pay no fees you can, with a personal account, and if the seller funds the money they sent you from their bank account. If they fund it using a credit card or a debit card, it will cost you $$ to transfer it into your bank account.

So you can do it for free but you have to tell the sender to fund with their bank account only, no debit or credit. Then you can withdraw directly to your verified bank account for no $$ and you get it in a couple days. This is how I usually do it. Otherwise sometimes it is just easier to have them send a money order or cashiers check... I have never lost out that way. I have even taken personal checks on occasion, I just tell them I have to wait 10 days for it to clear. :D

Just a FYI about linking your bank account to Paypal. I would highly advise you have an account JUST for that, and NOT use your regular one. On the very rare chance you get money and there is a dispute, Paypal could take the money from your account.

Paypal Sucks

Used to think paypal was the safest way to send or receive money until I had some hack get into my account. Had it set up on a seperate bank account just for that reason. Only put money into the account when needed. This @%$?&^* hack made five transfers of $35.40 from my bank account. Paypal flagged it suspicious after the fifth one and put a hold on the account. Only one processed but there still wasn't enough in the account to cover it. Needless to say I had five overdrafts on my bank account at $125.00. I put stop payment on anything for paypal because with paypal it will try to pull the funds three times just so you know. I called and talked to Paypal about six times on the overdrafts that should be their responsibility, all they did was give me the run around. They said its not their problem and I should take it up with my bank. As far as their customer service goes its just another big corp. that could care less about their customers. I have nothing good to say about Paypal and no longer have an account or ever will. If your going to use paypal put it on a credit card so you can dispute any problems.:mad:

Yeah I think I am going to call PayPal and request they just cancell my account.

I don't like a third party website having access to my bank account like that.
