how do i post only 10 min. of an hour long dvd on youtube

i have an accout on youtube but i am a newbe. can anyone tell me how to just post like 8-10 min. out of a full hour of home made dvd of riding/ jumping

Use Movie editor to make the clip what you want, then post

do i need to download a program to do that or is it on my pc (vista)

Try windows movie maker or something of the like. My vista machine didn't come with any editing software

download windows movie maker..or another editing program of your choice..u possibly have it already..i do on my vista ultimate!!!
