How about big pow and boondocking in grand lake

been ridding RE and BP all season and thought we would try grand lake this weekend
were can we find big pow filled meadows and good boondocking
I have ridden there a couple of times but it seems like the good off trail ridding is hard to find or just dose not exist
Can anyone point me in the right direction

head up to gravel mountain on the trail system, you will find some meadows along the way. The best snow I've found is always right below tree line around gravel. There should be some good snow up there now with this past storm.

The best riding over there is North, you need to get on the North side of gravel and away from Grand Lake.

You can, there is parking off 125 just north of Still water pass. There is some good riding to the west off 125 on Park view mtn as well, the avy danger is huge and there are 300' cliffs to the north east, so pay attention to what your doing if you head up there
