Hood Strap options

I know Skinz makes a hood strap kit, it is nice and I love their stuff, but I have a hard time paying $99 for it. I would to piece one together with some hardware (I have plenty at the house) and buy some rubber straps. So my question is anyone rig one up themselves and have pictures?

FYI - I did a "search this forum" by typing in "hood strap kit" but did not come up with anything.

What I have used for a few years now are the hood straps and retainers from an IQr. I actually just ordered some for then new sled yesterday...

I have the fire n ice straps and have 0 complaints. Sure beats the hell out of the stock crap

Just ordered the fire and ice kit and already received shipping conformation. 6 straps and hardware shipped to me for $60. Thanks for the link to fire and ice. They have some nice stuff and I have, for some reason, never been on their site.

Don't you have to cut holes in your plastic to fit the Fire-n-Ice straps. Not sure I like that idea.
