ok ok.... the seat looks great!!! but that picture of you in your robe.....priceless....that will be photoshop material for sure!
 
Doesn't look as narrow as I think I woulda done. My seat across the top is about 8" and tapers down from there, yours looks wider.

again great work. What material did you use to bolster the seat up and then just foam?
Covered with vinyl?
 
Looks great! I have a question for you, where do you buy your foam? I am also building my own seat and want to cut the foam myself. Then off to an upolster to finish the job.

Closed cell for the base layers is the lightest and easiest. You can ever drill 3 or 4 inch holes in it to lighten even more. I use a dual density foam for the top. Not sure what Metso uses.
