Needin some new HMKs. got a couple pairs picked out but was wondering if anyone knows if they have anything new and improved coming for next year. should i tough it out the rest of the season with my leaky boots or take the plunge now? the boa focuses worth the extra over the regular boas?

Same here. I have Pro's that are two seasons old that have been fixed by the local shoe repair shop several times. Each time it's the same thing....the heal/sole is separating from the upper part of the boot. The boots are still mint other than that. Looking back, I should have just bought a couple cheap pairs of snowboard boots.

My HMK's fell apart after 6k miles. Kirk warranted them got me a new pair. And this pair has came apart in 2 months but he is giving me another pair. He stands behind his products. When they are still together great boots, and kirk takes care of you if you have problems. Great Guy.

Check out the Klim Adrenaline GTX, there an awesome boot and the price is decent. I'm working on the second season with them and they still look and work like new.

My hmks feel apart, I sent them back to hmk 10 days later there was a brand new pair of pro boas on my porch. No questions asked no money out of my pocket. The new boots seam to be holding up much better the the first pair did. Maybe they fixed the problems they had. I will buy HMK boots from now on just because of that GREAT customer service!!

my current boots are the original hmk's, had them for 7 years. the left one finally sprung a leak in the toe area, otherwise they have held up great. just feel like it is time to update. im sure the klim boots are great but i have good luck with the hmk's and have always heard good words about their customer service.

Been using HMK Pro Boa Focus' this year. They have been holding up great, eventhough I havent put a lot of miles on them. I also love the boa system. Quick and easy.

If you can wait. I would suggest getting a pair at Haydays. HMK has show specials. Got my Focus' to my door for $250.

I just replaced a pair of HMK's that were on their 4th year. They were actually still in pretty good shape, I was just ready for a new pair. I replaced them with the pro boa focus. Yes, the focus system is waaaay better. My new boa's are holding up just fine.

I have two rides on my new pro boas, I love the support and the boa system You can really suck them down tight and they have been super confortable since the first ride. One problem is on the Rev's the left boot leaks bad. About 10 mins in on saturday and they were leaking. What I have heard as long as you don't ride a DOO then you'll be fine.

I have a xp and no leakage problem. Last three years I had a rev and no leakage problem.

NOW Im laughin .....Dontcha know that When you ride a rev..your boots stop leaking.

Mine fell apart after one short season. I contacted Kirk and nothing. I wasn't rude or anything on the phone call. I just asked if they can fix the boots or offer any advise on a product to fix them. He said that they come apart from time to time.

I still wear the boots, they just leak and look bad. Good thing for Peet boot dryers. At least they are warm and dry to walk across the parking lot in the morning.

Klim boots for me next year.

got almost two years out of my klim and wore through the sole.
backcountry.com has some good deals on snowboard boot for less than 100 bucks
i got a good deal on my klims at the snowmobile show but still more than basic snowboard boot.
i just got some DC boas for 120. ill never go back to laces

What does riding a rev have to do with leaky boots???

The heat from the clutches on the left side blows warm air on your left boot. All the snow that gets in there melts on the top of your boots and bam! wet feet. It gets in on the top of the boots where the tongue meets the toe box. This will be the problem with all snowboard style boots (not counting the Klim Radium). The HMK boots are not water proof, not snowboard boots are either. If you want dry feet on a REV you either have to have some boots that are truly waterproof (i.e. Gore-Tex) or mod the left side of your sled or boots.

I tried a pair of HMK Pro Boa Focus this year and they rock when riding trails:) I went back to wearing a Pair of Cabela's Gore-Tex boots and my feet are always dry. I'm going to buy some Klim Boots for next season I think.
