Is that not bad to run in a little 2 cycle?

Most mod sleds in Ak run avgas mostly because of the price of race gas and how hard it is to get it up here. Here on the peninsula, we can get avgas for about the same price as premium at the pump and it is easy to get. I have been running avgas for years with no issues. As long as your comp ratio is not so high to require a higher octane, there is nothing wrong with running avgas in a 2-stroke.

I run a Polaris 440 stock engine.
Pre-mix.
Suppost to run 110.
But I'm tired of buying it.

That's an easy fix, put the pump gas heads on it! The kit will cost you one days worth of 110....

That fuel farm at 92'nd and King had a tank of 100 LL Av gas a while back. At a pump in the back corner.
Also Suburban Propane used to have it too.

Yes. It's the Shell station on King St. about 1/8 mile south of Toys R Us. 100LL is in a white tank in the south-west corner.

FYI: No more AV gas at the station on King st. The Tank is gone.

I may be a little green on this subject so bear with me. I don't have a mod sled but my sled has been running very inconsistent depending on which crap pump gas I use. I can buy 100LL right behind my house. What are the advantages and disadvantages of running this over pump gas. I have always wondered about running this but was a little leary, is there anything to worry about?
