High Park Fire - Paul

Oh, and you can come stay down in Monument if you want to be close to "THE CREW":) Single lady next door and a married 9.5 across the street;)

LOL, thanks Ryan! Thanks for all the generous offers and kind thoughts. Nice and calm today, so they should make some good progress.

Heading to Alabama on business next week. Not ideal, but nothing I can do around here. Out of the fire and into the frying pan!

Paul - been watching this thing for a while now on the news. Wow! Didn't quite realize you were in the middle of it so to speak. Sure hope it finds a fuel source and moves away from your place. Gotta thank all of the air and ground crews, comms, etc. who help with these events. They do an amazing job.

Take a minute and do a little day-dreaming about that next 36" powder dump, and carving up a big flank of a hill!! That's living. This thing will sort itself out one way or another and you'll be back on the snow before you know it!!!

Stay positive.
We'll be pulling for ya!!

Thanks Corey. I am dreaming of better days. Seems like this fire just won't give up on our subdivision. Today, 3 sky crane choppers were going all day long battling the fire in the canyon.

Sounds like it's still giving them a heck of a time down below my sub-division and that we won't be let back in for awhile yet. Looking a lot better everywhere else though. We'll see what tomorrow brings with more hi temps and winds.

Powers still out, but a fire-fighter friend stopped by my place yesterday and threw some stuff out of my fridge that was rotting.

Burnt up yesterday afternoon. wanted it to be over, but not the outcome I expected.
