Here Comes the SNOW!!!

We rode above Nederland today and only got within 50 yds of the parking lot above the mine. The snow was over 4' deep and very heavy with no base, I blew out into a small meadow and killed a belt about 400 yds into the circle I was making, while digging trench walls that the French could have had a war in, might be better up there tomorrow if it sets up enough to stay on top. It was still snowing at 7:00 pm when we left. May go back tomorrow or maybe a final run to VP but there is plenty of snow up in Ned.

We got 24"+ at my house, with lots of wind. Rode 21 miles on my sled and took some pics. Post them up later. Lots of flat light I hope a few of the pics are ok.

 damn I bet Carrie was all WTF where did he go? Three hours later and a full grin BTP shows up...................hi honey?

I got three to four feet at my house but was too busy for ditch bangin...tomorrow little pink is goin to get a beating!

Don't ya just love it when all that beautiful snow gets wasted on the metro area? It just melts and runs into the sewers.

No Karrie to be found. Her flight from San Diego was cancelled. She got one more day in the warmth. Lots of flat light and snow. Hard to see all the drifts. I have some pics, have to get Boondock to help me post them. :D

No mountian bikers here:eek: You going to Spring Fling? If you do see you there.

Well, I slept in my the back of my car with my dog last night in Georgetown. Hit pretty hard. Parts of Denver/Jeffco/Gilpin got 52"!!!!! OMFG! They said that is almost 6" of water!

We could honestly see some serious flooding if it warms up to fast now.

We got stuck on 70 for 12 hours...LOL.. we turned around a G-town and got stuck at idaho springs/floyd hill for 5 hours. at 2 am they opened up the road that was hit or miss plowed and let us go down... got home around 3 am, left my house at 3 pm. the day before...:rolleyes:

Did anyone else see all the p0rn0graphic snowmen\creations on the side of 70? OMG there was some funny shiz to be seen.:beer;:beer;

I like hot boxing but that must have been getting a little ridiculous. SHould of off loaded the sleds and done some hot laps! Imagine what it would sound like ripping thru the Eisenhower on a sled!

Yeah, I sat headed Westbound about 1/4-1/2 mile before the G-Town exit for about an hour and a half before I was able to work my way down the shoulder. The shoulder got blocked with people who would pull into the shoulder trying to block people from passing them  (I guess they didn't realize everyone was exiting). When I got into G-Town there were several stuck semis with large tow trucks trying to get them out so they forced me back onto Eastbound 70. I got off at Lawson and took the Frontage road back to Georgetown. That was fun. I had snow coming over my hood, giving it hell to get up that road in my front wheel drive low clearance car.... LOL. It was rally car style. I had to go Westbound to Edwards so I would rather stay in Georgetown that fight the traffic back to Denver and have to come back in the morning.

They let traffic back onto West 70 at 7:50 Saturday morning. I was probably one of the first 15 cars. I hauled @ss on the open road and was in Vail by 8:55. :D

You guys are missing out, there's 4' in my backyard. We've been getting screwed with this wind this season, finally we get a good storm that hits just us!!

CRAZY day yesterday, I was up to my chest in places. (yeah, I'm short but it was still a ton of snow!!!)
Heading up today with a stronger crew, should be a killer day!!!

Bummer for any of you guys that drove by the good snow on the way to six inches somewhere else.

btw, WP got hammered as well.

Probably better I came to the ears to break in a new crank and top-end, but I'll ride the FR again this year after the next one!

We knew we weren't going to make it through the tunnel, tried to head up to your neck of the woods but they wouldn't let us on the ramp to empire because 40 was shutdown because of the avalanches. we were screwed either way...

At one point we were holding up any and all progress on westbound 70 because I had picked up the drivers from the 4 cars around us and we were doing our best cheech an chong impression in the ol silverado.

funny how you can make friends so quickly with just a little mother nature :face-icon-small-win

All people had to do was get off at dumont, then head up the frontage road. Hey, I'm cool with them turning around more people, but you just have to be a bit more persistent!!

A few from today.
