Help a brutha out...show me your pics of sleds(revs) with handguards.

Mine arnt on a rev but, after riding with them I cant imagine rideing with out them. I HATE big bulky gloves, so I ride with gloves like a motocross glove. The hand guards definatly keep wind and snow off of your hands. Go with thte power madd guards, the mounts are great. They have lots of adjustment so you can move them around and get them far enough away to not get in the way of your brake lever.

As for the rolling over and the hand guard pinning the throttle, I have rolled my sled los with no trouble at all. And I just cant see how that would happen if you mount them right.

I like mine, I don't have handwarmers on my sled so they do a great job of keeping the wind off of my hands. As far as being in the way, I've never really had an issue with it, there is plenty of room in between the hand guard and the handle bars.

handguards

i like em
nevr have an issue "grabbing" them
keep hands warmish, look good i think
might change to black ones though

You ride in Alaska and you don't have warmers?

Dam, it IS tougher in Alaska :D

I've never had trouble with grabbing my bars either. The Powermad deflectors seem to mount way out front and out of the way.
As far as rolling the sled and having them pin the throttle?
Maybe it's happened to someone but I can't imagine how.

Stranger things have happened I guess.

It's all personal preference though, If you like 'em try 'em.
They're not an expensive addition and if you don't like 'em you could always sell them to someone who likes the look and protection from the frigid wind and blowing snow.

If the handguard caught something hard and rolled back....what would it press down on?

I guess anything is possible, Maybe you need to get them a little tighter. Mine have moved a little bit when rolled over but not enough to hit the throttle. Looks like it would brake the throttle lever off. But craizer things have happened.:beer;

I never ride without em.
They do help keep your hands warmer, but I use them for hand protection. I ride a chingo of tight trees and those branches tear the dog snot out gloves and such. I have never had one flip around on me and have never had one crush the throttle.

Hasn't happened yet,but I suppose it could hit the flipper switch. I have rolled the sled many times and the handgaurd only moves slightly. I carry the two Allen keys in my toolkit to tighten it back up. The way I ride,if it hits something solid,I'm upside down anyways.LOL

haha i like the random bit of branch on the hood....

stock hooks don't work on the protapers, at leat not on mine

Yes the tether will solve the problem....now if we could just get guys to use their tethers!

bars

how do you like those pro tapers? do the stock bar ends work? looking at the same ones....

bars are sweet
stock bar ends do work as you can see in my pic, they are on
BUT...did take some patience and customization

had to drill out bars w a 3/8 or 1/2 bit..cant remember
then had to grind down the bar end bit that goes into the actual handle bar
it all worked out in the end though and looks/works sweet
