Big, big shout out to Wells Racing and the Ruth clan.
Would not have been as big a success without the support of Gogert Racing, they gave order to the record keeping and provided the launch pads!!

And finally, Curt (and family), Justin and Ted Devol. They worked their buts off!

Looking forward to next year with all we learned this year.

Had an amazing time a met a lot of really good people. No surprise there though snowmobilers always rock.

It would be great if you can give us a date for next yrs race I need more time , to get sleds ready, I think it was a great time had by all!!

Hey guys,
Had a great time, actually learned a lot about keeping my sleds cool in that heat. got lots of runs in. Thanks to everybody involved putting it on. lets do it again next year.

great turn out for a first run (looking forward to more)
well done and hats off to those preparing and working
the races. I figure i dropped 10 lbs yesterday it was hot!

lets see more pix and vid

Lee, if u are away hunting next time, you gotta let me run the beast:becky:

Wow, man I am just now feeling human again after working Fri and Sat in that heat but it was well worth it!

We've always wanted to do something to "give back" to our friends and customers and what better way than a weekend of playing with your sleds??!!!

Partenering up with Devol made it much easier to pull off and honestly we were surprised it went as smooth as it did!(thanks to a ton of patient racers!)

I want to personally thank every single one of you that came-it really meant a lot and I think the result will be more races in the future. We definitely figured out several things that will change to smooth out the process and get racing going a little earlier.

We had 2 or 3 folks that ended up paying for classes that they couldn't run for various reasons-I hope that your classes were refunded to you-I know I was asked a couple times during the day about it and had to keep referring folks to Ted for refunds--please let me know if it didn't happen and I will make sure you get refunded.

Also, anyone that did not get their trophy plaques--please get ahold of me--there were a lot of them unclaimed at the end of the day.

We also ended up with a couple sleds in classes that they didn't belong in--thanks to those who shrugged it off instead of complaining-much appreciated! Our tech was minimal in an effort to get everyone racing earlier and I think most understood that this was for fun.

I want also to publicly thank Tom and Sandy Gogert for not only loaning us a sweet launch pad to race on but for also taking over organizing the race boards all day---I know they were both looking forward to a relaxed day of hanging out and racing but got put to work instead. Sandy, you rock and we owe you a big THANK YOU!

Also, Justin and Kyle who worked beside me for 10 hot miserable hours on Friday to build the course and then 6 a.m. till 8 p.m. on Saturday to run the race and tear it all back down in the dark----those guys are an awesome crew that never get thanked-so thanks fellas!

And a big thanks to Lynn(4Z)and Justin for barking at racers all day for us to get them to the line and then packing the backing boards behind sleds till they could barely walk...you guys are the best!

Thanks to Mike (RMKboxer) for the use of his generator so we could get the extension cord out of the pits--I'm taking good care of it for ya!

How about our exhibition guys and the show they put on? The Extreme boys and those quads were great and I'm still picking dirt out of various orifices from their roost-awesome!
Travis and the snow bikes--unique killer equipment that really turned some heads too--great job guys!
Jesse and Michael on the laydown mods--we will have a better track next time so you guys can run 'em out and really show folks what those cookie sheets can do! Thanks so much for coming and beating yourselves up for fun!

The next one will be planned and advertised much earlier and all those questions we only had vague answers for will be addressed.

I know this is sounding like a fricken MTV award speech so just one more thing--we had a crew show up clear from eastern idaho to race and they have a few grass races of their own down there, we need to put a few guys together and go play with them next summer-I'll keep you posted.

Awesome day , we're happy you all enjoyed it and we'll do it again as soon as possible!

Curt

We used to go to these all of the time up north and I must say for your first event it was pretty smooth. The announcer from Devol was entertaining to listen to during the down times so that was good too - he has a knack for that.

Good job to all involved once again! Maye next year more aftermarket vendors and dealers will get involved with tents to display and sell their products.

how bout a lake or pond race? start on land and 30 or 40 yard race over a pit of water made by a dozer or tracko:face-icon-small-hap

I personally think its to close to the snow show for a swap meet to be there and I would much rather race then bring my garage to it.:becky:

I thought you would love 2 swap meets!!!
If it is a two day event, there would be plenty of time for both plus a enduro cross!!
