Has anybody that has installed a high compression head on an 11 or 12 Pro been having any issues after awhile with running or starting? Or more noticable issues at a colder or warmer temperature? thanks

quite a few guys arnt clutching heavy enough when they install the head and get into the det or hit the rpm limiter especially in the midrange..heel heavy weights work extremely well on the pro and try and get it to run 8050 on the memory for max rpms....

I've got the PA 13.1 head running 91 octane from 2500-7500 feet. Absolutely no issues yet. Still need to fine tune my clutching but 100% satisfied with the head/can combo.

Those of you that have installed them how many miles are on your sleds before you put the head on and how many miles with the head on?

About 400 miles before the Pa 12.5 went on it. About 400 miles since. Runs better and more consitant with the pa head. Zero issues other than making sure to clutch it right. aksnowrider is right, It takes heel heavy weights and nore than you think to get it to not det in the mid. Once you getting your clutching set it's pull rope and go. Just make sure to get the right head for your elevation. Don't try to cheat and run higher compression than your fuel or altitude. These motors are close to end as it is with det.

Running the 13.6 pa head from 7-10000 on premium non ethanol fuel probably had about 200 miles on before the head and about 700 now with zero issues

I have the 13.6 head and having trouble with det in mid rpm , running 91 octane at 8000 to 12000. Its very irritating.

What are you running for weights? Make sure to run a heel heavy weight. Pick your favorite, Slp mtx, belly buster, epi what ever, Just a heel heavy weight, and load the motor. I will bet you your midrange det is nothing more than not enough weight.

I've got 2600 miles on mine but only about 200 on it with the head. I have a 162 3 inch on mine and it'll run with a turbo at 6-8 pounds of boost. And the throttle response is unreal

I was ust trying to say that my sled with just the 3 inch track and the pa 13.1 head is comparable to a turbo running 6-8 pounds of boost

What elevation? The Turbo Pro I ride with is untouchable on around 6-7 lbs of boost. Not to mention the obvious gigantic price difference between the two. Seems like you definitely got the most bang for your buck.:high5:

Sounds like you guys like the pa head? What clutching have you done for the 5000-10000 ft head? Also there's one place left that has non ethanol in my area Pretty sure it'll have ethanol soon. Could I still run the head with the ethanol plug in?
