The newest step towards an all out gun ban is coming from no less than Black Panther turned Congressmen Bobby Rush.

Elections have consequences and we're getting a whole lot a fascism outta this last one.

I have a hard time understanding what this would do for crime anyway. Criminals will get guns if they want them. All the laws in the world will not stop that from happening.

The liberals have a LONG laundry list of issues they have been trying to get pushed thru for the last 20 years. They see their chance and will now take it.

They will try to push the most controverial issues thru first while the house and senate are still getting sorted out and the republicans are disorganized.

After just a quick read through, this stuff looks remarkably similar to our gun laws... At least as far as the licensing goes. The difference...

The term ‘qualifying firearm’--

‘(A) means--

‘(i) any handgun; or

‘(ii) any semiautomatic firearm that can accept any detachable ammunition feeding device

Ours applies to long guns. Handguns are RESTRICTED so the rules are even tighter.

I don't have a problem with writing a test (making sure we all know how to safely use one) or having to carry a card as proof of this. But no doubt, a bill like this would be just the beginning of the restrictions. Who knows how far it would go??

A law like this one will not prevent crime. approx 75% of the US citizens will be breaking the law. Dear God how many handguns are out their? Registered ones and non registered. I own 4 legal unregistered handguns now.

Yes this bill will be the beginning of huge restrictions....we cannot be passive with any gun control! If we are passive it will pave the way to be completely controlled.

This country is far from the principles and morals it was founded on....and no they aren't out of date libbies! Our founding fathers talked about the very sh*t we are in right now... with how banks would destroy us and about how a strong nation should protect themselves against a tyranny type government...with firearms if necessary! Morals and principles never go out of date....only thing that changes is your justifications as to why you allow more control and socialism! This bill has been out there since early January, and has not had enough traction to even get out of committee yet. I wouldn't worry too much about this bill quite yet, but if it does happen to get out of committee, then it will be time for action.

One good thing that we do have going for us is that there are qutie a few western democrats (hell, we have one in Idaho now) that I don't think that will ever support this bill. For me, it seems like many Democrats (especially those from more rural areas) are waking up to the fact that the reasonings behind these anti-2nd amendment bills are noting but a buch of bunk.

to that! I don't care if people think I am nuts...we are not more advanced in our common sense, sense of patriotism, and our knowledge of right and wrong than we were 200 years ago. We have been losing our freedoms for decades, now we are on the fast track. I sincerely pray for my 2 boys everyday brothers! I choke up when I look at them and think about this stuff. I know they were called to be here during this time in the world. My boys will suffer (and that scares the hell out of me and hurts), but I know they will fight against tyranny and injustice...they will be brave and stand up to evil. They already show those traits. I will teach them everyday to be ready. Not to be extremist, but to be ready to fight for the freedoms God gave us....he blessed good moral people with. My sons are going to be patriotic heroes....they will be good men that will help others that cannot help themselves. They are and will be compassionate...but with a sense of duty and loyalty to protect what is good and of God. I know they will be. My 9 year old is already a patriot. I heard him pray about 1/2 a year ago...I did not put persuade him to pray for this....but I heard him pray for protection of our troops and to love the ones that are already with him....and 8 year old prayed like that. I lost it, he heard me...and got up to hug me. He honors the men and women that have died for him, unlike King Obama. If a man does something like what King Obama did (disrespecting our soldiers), can you imagine what is really in that dark heart!!!?? I am honestly scared and have begun to prepare myself.

I don't mean to preach doom and gloom, I just pray the good conservative moral men and women in this nation aren't complacent until it is almost too late. I don't share my personal feelings or stories here for praise....I do because I want to plant that seed with good people.

I love this nation brothers! I will die to protect its freedoms and liberties from enemies foreign and domestic!
