Groomer stuck in Cascade Lake??

30 to 40 yards out is probably only going to be 6 to 8 feet deep in that show shorline. That is why part of the machine is still showing. I agree with JeffC, should be able to cut their way out.

Good luck explaining that too the insurance company, not only did they loss a $100,000+ machine now you will have several thousands of dollars worth of EPA fines and fees the club will have too pay. The USFS will probably pull the grooming permit.

I'm sure they will figure out how to get everything groomed and taken care of. QUIT WORRYING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:(

Like I said it's in around 20' of water. The tiller is on the bottom holding the thing up and the blade is resting on the ice holding the front up.

I guess he saw a few episodes of Ice Road Truckers, but not the episode where the snowcat went under. I was reading all the warnings and stuff on the windsheild of our Prinoth cat, and they pretty much tell you to stay off the ice, always. I bet they go the chainsaw and big wrecker route to get it out.

I agree RMK we spent all weekend up in mccall and they got a "DUSTING" ,"SKIFF",or "FLURRIE" friday night. but other than that crystal clear.

I live in New Meadows and got one he!! of a snow storm that night and I am right over the hill from tamarack. It could be blizzard conditions in Cascade and perfectly clear in McCall. So how do you know it didn't snow in Cascade that night??????????? QUIT JUMPING TO CONCLUSIONS PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!
I am sure everything will be taken care of without all your guys bu!!@#it

they will prolly have to use rig matting on the ice and use a winch Cat to pull it out, kinda like this.

My bullsh!t? Check out tamarak and brundage. In the last week they have only gotten 1 inch of snow. Not much of a blizzard. Why are you so defensive 1988 did you do something wrong?

Anybody know if they got the groomer that sank in the peat bog by the Twin Cities?

RJ on the forum got that one stuck, and yes they got it out. There is a thread somewhere on that one but I am too lazy to link to it

Not the one that sank completely out of sight in the peat bog and then they sank the backhoe too trying to get it out. That was up in Anoka county:

There has been so many of these thing going through this year it's unreal.

I had kind of forgot about my little December mishap. That area today looks a lot better and less cat tails. I wonder why?
