Uh... no. RJ got this one stuck:

Not the one that sank completely out of sight in the peat bog and then they sank the backhoe too trying to get it out. That was up in Anoka county:

Oh, that's right:beer;:beer;:beer;

Hey RJ!

After looking at the picture of your "stuck" there, I notice that you must have been dozing off as you went wide on the corner. If you would have stayed on the trail, you would have made it! Too busy changing radio stations or something?

^^^ Somebody is mad that its out because they have to find somthing new to complain about.

Today the trail was getting bumpy for here. I'm glad its out. Hopefully its not too trashed.

A 4 page Idaho thread on the main page. Am I gonna start seeing Minnesota plates here?

I've been to Cooke and West and it aint worth the extra drive unless your staying longer. but if you do that you might not look at West Yellowstone the same again. so ya its far from the midwest.

It wasn't quite that simple... That swamp was a bit unpredictable. Plus, that was the first run of the season and the 'trail' was only slightly wider than one sled width. There was no way to keep the Tucker entirely 'on the trail'. With three preceding weeks of below zero weather we all thought the swap would have held. We're just glad we were able to yank it out with zero damage to anything.

CASCADE - The Valley County Sheriff's department says it is working with local contractors in the area, and have come up with a possible plan to pullout the groomer that got stuck in the lake earlier this week.

After testing the depth of the lake and ice surrounding the groomer, they have decided that they believe the best way to get the groomer out is to use two large poles and place them under the groomer and then pull it to shore.

If that doesn't work, officials will drill holes into the ice and drage the groomer to shore. The lake is only 9 feet deep at that location, and the ice is three feet thick.

They believe that by drilling holes between the groomer, and the shoreline, they should be able to drag the groomer to shore. The EPA has confirmed that there is no leakage of fluids from the groomer.

County officials had sent inquiries to the air national guard about using a chopper, but the weight of the groomer is prohibitive - it weighs 16,000 pounds.

The groomer operator was not injured in the incident. He got out of the machine, and had to walk back across the ice to the sheriff's office to report the incident.

In the Anoka mishap, a skid loader went out the get the groomer, sank out of sight and the hoe went to get them both out and went down. The skidloader were down a long time.

There were three things dropped into that swamp?? I thought the skid loader was the 'groomer' they dropped in?

Anyone have any better pictures of that calamity?
