greenwater

I was thinking the same thing for Sunday. Tony I thought you were just a jet boater. Didn't know you rode sleds Im on your forum also same name. Terry

It's late archery season on the eastside for a us and nobody seams to remember that. You will get a ticket from the right guy.

ya took my old explorer up to the gate to the cabin at gov meddows (which is closed) 11/23/2012 about 22 in of snow, most 4x4's have not been much further and with the rain the hardpack will get sloppy now/freeze tonite, saw 5 sleds heading up as i was going down,
road is rutted but still ridable and lots of stuff roadwise not touched, dec 1st is when they berm the road to officially open it to snowmobilers we will be up there in the morning, the bigger rigs with big trailers will have to brave it past upper gravel pit, advise chain up there if going further.

SNOW REPORT FRIDAY THE 23RD

Went up with the jeeps , maybe 18 to 20" on pyramid pass, poured down rain all day, even at 5000' up by Ravens roost. We had no problem driving up and over to whistlin jacks. There were a few sleds up there, have to drive way up to hit snow. Most years the roads are not closed to wheeled vehicles till right about dec 15th, They leave them open for the hunters ect. If we got a big snow they might close them earlier but for now all is open. About 40 degrees up high yesterday,

I think im going to wait sounds really crappy. Heading over to sidehil house tomorrow to help put his sled back together.

It turned out to be a good day,It wasn't deep and steep by no means! But a good day to take the girls out and shake down the sled!

Sunday in green water was a Blue bird day with not a cloud in the sky. We were able to take some roads that we are not able to access When the snow gets deeper. Not a bad way to spend a Sunday morning.

Avalanche report site

I don't put a whole lot of faith in the DOT site.
I tend toward the avalanche center.
http://www.nwac.us/forecast/weather/current/

They say snow levels only coming down to 3-4000' Sat and Sun and then warming up again Tuesday.

Temps really need to come down soon, but still early.
Here is Crystal Mt weather, only got down to 34 deg at 4570'

another one for the Snotel sites:
http://www.wcc.nrcs.usda.gov/snotel/Washington/washington.html
Sawmill ridge at 4600' has lost from 12 -7 inches since Thanksgiving.

Prayin for snow!
