I don't know which riding spot you're talking about on Wolf Creek. If you're talking about Elwood Pass/Pass Creek/Park Creek, I don't know that area at all. If you're talking about the riding area at the top of Wolf Creek Pass, just west of the ski area, I know that one quite a bit better. On that one if you've ridden all of the groomed trails up there you've seen a lot of the riding area, it's pretty small. Just about anywhere you dive off the trail you'll find a good place to play.
If you park at the top of the pass and follow the trails around you'll see that the trail goes back up to the highway further down the pass (like you're heading to Pagosa Springs). If you don't know the area that well it's a good place to play because the groomed trail switches back and forth up the hill, and it's easy to get back to trail.
