Gotta Love Klim!!!!

my wife finally sent her bibs in, with failed zipper. The zipper failed right away so we just duck taped them. She kept forgetting to send them in until there was snow on the ground so it has been a few years since they first blew the zipper. Klim is charging $80 for the zipper. They said there was a couple holes that were burned into them for about $300. So if they fixed everything it would be $380. She had them fix the zipper for 80 and called it good. The zipper should have been fixed for nothing but we should have sent them back a couple of years ago. To even tell her they would fix the other, for what they wanted, was a little rediculous. I'm not in love with them nor am I mad at them. Glad you guys had good luck.

I have really started to doubt customer service from Klim after my last experience. I bought a new Klim Valdez jacket in March of 2012 and wore it the rest of that season and all of 2013. The jacket was warm and comfortable but it tore in the tight trees way too easy. First ride out I snagged a branch on a sidehill and got a fresh tear right above my wrist. 3 weeks later I got another tear up by the shoulder on a limb right through the outer and inner layer. 2nd ride of 2013 I ended getting a small burn on the front pocket and elbow of sleeve which was totally my fault and I explained it to Klim. They said no worries and I sent the jacket in to see what they could do. No dice. The small burn on the front pocket voided the warranty and they said "The life of the jacket has been reached." 1 1/2 seasons? Really? A $400 jacket every 1 1/2 seasons? I asked if they could just replace the sleeves and they said no unless I paid $300 for the repair. Too expensive so they shipped it back to me and then charged me $25 for shipping.

I have Klim Adrenalin GTX boots, Klimate pants, Klim socks, Klim beenie, Klim gloves and also a full dress set of summer Klim gear for my dirt bike. With the two full top to bottom winter gear sets I've been through over the years and the summer gear I added up over $2400 in clothes. First warranty case on a "new" jacket and I get flat out denied. I'm just really disappointed when I hear about everyone getting 5 and 6 year old gear replaced with new stuff and I get denied. I want to trust Klim but my experience leaves me slightly jaded.

Klim Canada truly sucks! I talked with the Alberta Klim Rep at Walt Healy during a sale and he assurred me they would warranty my 1 year old Adrenaline boots. I sent them back at my cost, got a call 3 weeks later denying warranty. Plus it would cost me $40 to have them send back to me. Total BS. I told them to shove those boots up there a$s - they just lost $2000 in future sales.

The very next day I bought Motorfist boots, jacket, bibs, gloves, everything. Klim Canada sucks!!!! Will never deal with them again.

Motorfist has replaced my bibs and jacket for simple zipper tears. Awesome!

I also wear some KLIM gear(bibs/jacket) and decided to buy a pair of togwatee gloves. I did not find them warm at all and preferred my ice armor fishing gloves that were half the price. KLIM didn't even question and refunded my money. Same thing love the parka and bibs they treated me properly with the gloves and have gained a customer for life.

The vertic is in...klim is awesome!

As posted earlier I sent my bibs into klim Canada and was warmly received by the rep via email. Few quick chats about the leakage problem and the fact that there were older bibs with minor repairs.
No problem he said I will look onto them and one week later I was told there is a new pair on the way...picking um up today!

Wow, can't say enough about the great service. As a logging contractor dealing with repairs and warranty issues steady it's hard to find a company that will stand by there product like klim.
Five star treatment, thanks Jared and klim Canada.

Well, we'll see if they follow through the same way.

I was going through gear the other day and noticed that my Free Ride Pants that were new as of last year had two small holes in them. Basically two small holes on the back /side of my left knee.

Spoke with them over the phone and they are now in Klim's hands. So I guess we'll see what happens???????

Well, just heard back from Klim on my pants..................................

90.00 to fix two extremely small holes!!!! Needless to say "F" that!!! I told them to send them back as I'm not going to pay 90.00 to fix two little holes.

I was really hoping I could have been another guy with a great Klim success story like so many others but, not so much. I realize they have to charge something, and I don't expect anything for nothing but I think that's a little much for what needed to be done.

O well, I guess I'll have to start looking at Motorfist?????

The Season before last, I sent my 7 year old Valdez Parka, and Togwotee Bibs to Klim for Zipper Repairs, got a call a week later, stating I would be getting Brand New Jacket and bibs as Mine failed the water test, although I never was wet while riding. Klim is the Best!!

We will see if Polaris continues to let them operate as is in the next couple years. I bought my first pair of klim bibs this year.

Just got off the phone with Klim about a warranty issues with my Freeride pants and Arctic boots. Although very friendly, they totally dropped the ball. Boots were getting wet every ride. Told me no warranty because of a 1 inch cut on top of one boots. When I asked if they had done a waterproof test, they told me " It looks like we did not". They wouldn't water test my pants because they had several small holes on bottom and " We feel the lifetime of the product is up" and "Any repairs we could offer would be more than the cost of a new pair of pants"..... really one season. They then told me to send them to Gore-Tex?

After hearing and reading the countless stories over the years of " I ripped my Jacket on a tree", "I burnt my pants on the pipe", "My gear was 7 seasons old", "I threw my pants in toxic waste", "I got drunk and cut holes in my jacket with a razor blade......" ECT ECT ECT .....and they sent me brand new stuff. I am incredibly frustrated.

Hello Motorfist

Here is the email..... word for word if this helps.

Hello Ryan,

After careful evaluation of your Free Ride Pant as well as your Arctic Boot we have discovered no material or workmanship defects. Our warranty policy covers workmanship for the life of the product.

Klim products are fully warranted to the original owner against defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the product. This warranty does not cover damage caused by burns, accident, improper care, negligence, normal wear and tear, or the natural breakdown of colors and materials over extended time and use. Our boot warranty covers material and workmanship for one year. On the boots (CAS3221) we noticed the right boot has a 1 inch cut on the top of boot which reaches down into the fabric. This is not considered a manufacturing or material defect. In regards to the Free Ride Pant (CAS3120) we feel the lifetime of the product is up. There is damage on 2/3 of the pants and any repairs we could offer would be more than a new pair of pants.

We will be sending these items back to you. Please let me know if you have any questions or need anything else. Thank you!
