Snow is getting really nice on Buff Pass. Spent most of the day up there today. It's definitely gotta be 40" up top.

On Buff? LOL, I have seen the pics from SOCO. I wish I lived closer, I'd love to go riding there. Can't justify the long drive for a day ride. No way I can get a place to stay there. With the cost of diesel now gotta watch the sledding budget.

If I had a place, yeah I could. But that would be a $500 trip minimum, and I don't think that would go over so well. I'd need to get a group of guys to head down with.

SB, do you have a address in the WC area that I could plug into Google Maps or Mapquest? I'm trying to get an idea of actual drive time to the riding area.

Last time I was in that area it was summer and I was headed down for an interview. I had a 5 year old and a baby so we had to stop a LOT!! I think from Kremmling to Durango it took over 12 hours

Mapquest shows a touch over 4 hours from K town to South Fork, the exact same from my house. Took 5 hours to get home last night with the weather.

And how far from South Fork to the riding area? I'm jonsin bad and seeing Matt's pics just make it worse. LOL

I drove over rabbit ears pass today and stopped in the MC lot to whizz .... there's enough snow down low to get on the roads and ride north, but theres still quit a bit of brush sticking through the snow right now. I think there needs to really be 2 more good storms before it gets ..."ridable" ... really.

We definatley had a lot more snow this time last year.

Ya never know, could happen.
