Got my sled today

Thanks for posting up the pics.. I've always liked the way the Diamond-S hoods look... Low and Sleek!

Any pics you can share of the gauge relocation?

With the right amount of rivet from the tunnel to the bumper... that bumper will actually help strengthen the tunnel at the rear... great idea and cost effective. For those that tug on the rear alot or use snowbungies... this would help distribute the load.

Can you tell me how close the measurement of the width of the inside of the cat bumper is to the outside measure of the width of the tunnel on the PRO?

Please keep us all updated on your progress.

Yes on my last Pro I had 6-8 rivets on each side of the cat bumper, and used the sled to sled sno bunje a ton of times, ended up with a small bend in the bumper at the end of the season from a really violent jerk, but at that point I already would have been through 10 carbon fiber tubes.

I wont be able to get you the measurement till friday as I am at school, but I will.

And I didnt like the Diamond S gauge pod, I decided I am going to mount the gauge in the front/google section of the handlebar bag, the bag is at a shoe repair shop right now and they will be cutting a hole in the bottom to run the wiring, and cutting a hole in the top big enough to see the screen and indicator lights. That SHOULD be done friday.

I will be using a lead dog for a headlight.

Green is definitely a Polarizing color, you either hate it or love it....

But, it will be nice to see some "Green" at the top of the hills this year, even if it's not an Arctic Cat. HAhah!

Now someone needs to do a PRO in Yellow, and Blue and then when looking up at the top from a distance, it will seem like all the "Big Four" are represented.

Is the fabric where the gauge is going to mount fairly rigid?

The fit on these arent perfect...I haven't got mine installed because I have the tank and console off but from just holding it up there it looks like mine is going to fit about like yours.

There is some sort of rigid insert in there, and I am not going to actually "mount" it there, I am going to stick it inside of the bag and look at it through a window, so I only see the 5.5" by 2.75" of gauge instead of the entire 6.5" by 3.75" that the gauge itself measures (numbers not exact just guessing), so that way the gauge will not fall out. I will prolly have to cut a foam insert to fit to keep the gauge from moving.

And the fit is fine, not perfect, but I did not expect perfect. I just hate those dang 1/4 turn deals.

Well I took the bag to a shoe repair shop and had it cut and sewn. We werent really on the same page... but $10, I cant complain. It will work, and from a short distance no one will even have any idea that its there.

im going to keep that in mind. that will be effective....i basically am determined to intsall mine into the console above the gas cap...will suck cutting up a $150 piece of plastic but i think it will look clean if i can make it work...

Just a heads up, if mounted here I dont think you will be able to plug in the gauge. The tank sits to high and the space is just not deep enough. Maybe not I guess but I also looked into that and it looked like there was no way to make it work, but I may be wrong.

Here is the shape that I had intended, and I was hoping for nice clean stitched edges. I think the right person could do it and make it look real nice.

i looked at this for like two hours last night and i think if you put it just slightly higher than your drawing it will clear the vent coming out of the tank and clear the tank all together. really the only thing im worried about is messing up the cut. also due to the lip on each side of the console. (right and left side of the pic you just posted) the gauge will be sitting up on those lips so im worried the rubber grommet wont drop down and lock into the plastic on the top and bottom of the opening. i hope it will work.

Not sure, I'm at school during the weeks, I will be home tomorrow to check it out. And that will be cool if it works.

X2.
I will go out on a limb here, and say green doesn't belong on a Polaris, anymore than it does on a Minnesota Vikings Football Player. :face-icon-small-hap
Anyway, nice job, and thanks for the thread!:face-icon-small-ton

The handlebar bag is from sled solutions.

The view of the gauge is great while standing. Pics-

Shoot, I totally forgot to get that measurement before I attached the bumper. The fit is NOT perfect, I would say the bumper is real close to half inch wider than the tunnel, could be slightly more. A few clamps and some rivets and it fits great.
