talked with a buddy running a proclimb, he was trying to get warrenty for the six belts he destroyed, and was declined

but the dealer offered another year warrenty, his reply was ... if they will not warrenty the belts what is warrenty, just another sham to cover the first sham, he could be done with cat...

since he went with the team secondary his belts have stoped blowing

Extra year

I got a call from my dealer today, said he had some updates to do, that I should be getting a new belt shipped from cat, and an additional year of warranty.....I've got a non- snow check Proclimb 800 162SP....500 miles, and ZERO issues....sled runs great, pulls hard...

Dear Arctic Cat Snowmobile Dealer,
Enclosed are copies of letters being sent to your 2012 ProCross and ProClimb customers.
All registered 2012 ProCross and ProClimb 1100cc 4-stroke snowmobiles will
receive a Gear Shift update with 2013 components plus an additional year of Cat
Care Warranty.
All registered 2012 ProClimb M 800 / HCR 800 and ProCross XF 800 High Country
snowmobiles will receive our new 0627-084 High Output drive belt free of charge
plus an additional year of Cat Care Warranty.
All registered 2012 ProCross and ProClimb snowmobiles will receive an additional
year of Cat Care Warranty.
We require that each customer contact their Arctic Cat dealer between September 1
st and
November 30
th, 2012 to schedule the completion of any outstanding service bulletins. Once
the dealer has completed the updates to the snowmobile, Arctic Cat will add an additional 12
months of Cat Care Extended Service Contract for a total of 3 Years Warranty (12 months
Factory Warranty and 24 months Cat Care Extended Service Contract) from purchase date.
It is also our intent to update your remaining inventory of M 800, HCR 800 and XF 800 High
Country snowmobiles with the new 0627-084 High Output drive belt.
Arctic Cat will ship an appropriate number of Drive Belt(s) (p/n 0627-084) for every
unregistered 2012 M 800, HCR 800 and XF 800 High Country snowmobile at your
dealership. These new drive belts will receive a one time discount to match the
pricing of the 0627-083 drive belt.
Arctic Cat requires that the existing drive belt (p/n 0627-083) be replaced by the new
drive belt (p/n 0627-084) on every unregistered 2012 M 800, HCR 800 and XF 800
High Country snowmobile at your dealership.
At your option you may keep the 0627-083 take-off belt as it will remain a current
Arctic Cat part, or you may return the new and unused 0627-083 belt as part of your
Year End Surplus parts return. Upon return of the new and unused 0627-083 drive
belt, your dealership Parts Account will be credited the cost of the drive belt.
If you have any questions regarding this issue, please contact your Arctic Cat technical
service representative.

Sincerely,
Brad Darling

WOW!!!, did not have to give the extra year. Thats going above and beyond for there customers.

I'd agree, IF they fix the belt issues. If they don't, the extra year is worthless because my friends with belt issues can't afford to ride them anyhow, so they'll all be selling their sleds & buying something else, making my sled worth less even with more warranty.

We'll all be stoked if the 084 fixes it though... that would be great!

I agree, hope they get it all fixed. Snow checking a 2013

This winter sucks in the Mid-west but

Getting the extra year warranty is nice. It might actually screw Cat out of a sale in another year from me, because I want my sleds to be covered from now on. Thanks Cat. It means a lot to me , as I won't have many miles on the sled this year.

Cat isnt the only one that bails on belts. The local doo dealer got screwed out 8,000 in belts when doo refused all his xp belt claims on 08. Im guessing they paid for it somewhere !

Got my letter too. Filed that puppy away in a safe spot. Mixed emotions. I want to mod mod mod. But with the warranty it is telling me just enjoy riding the sled with a warranty.
