went for a day ride the other day, picked up my buddy from leftbrige and his other buddy
the other buddy had a 07 turboed apex 174" 2.5 track running 20lbs boost... i found out latter this sled took 2nd place at the iron shootout(approx 350hp... and yes i beleive it)
we went to corbin and had the sunnyiest day one could only dream of, there was no sleds marks and great setup powder... if anyone knows of elliot lake, there is two straight up narrow shoots to the top of the mountain on the south side
in the last 25 years of riding i know of only two guys that made it, and that was late in the spring
my machined worked better than ever and i was very happy to make it about two/thirds of the narrow shoot
as for the apex it was a whole new ball game, he would hit my highmarks and holes at least with still 20mph and still picking up speed, his sled was something else, i also took it up there and could not beleive the power this dam thing had, well it is a little scarry climbing such a vertical edge with so much track speed and the front end just getting higher and higer
his sled could of had a weight package put to the front of the sled to keep it down.... and it still would of went over
as for tree riding and other stuff, the xp had the advantage.... but i only wish i could have the money to have both, that apex was a killer sled in the point and shoot department
my buddy had a m1000 and he was a ways behind mine, to show how mine ran
