Good, bad, the ugly about Blue Marble oil in an '09 800r?

wow...all I can say is, wow....You guys get a little touchy bout your lube. Quickdraw is right, I was just wondering about some results in running bm in an 800r. But, I have also been thinking of running Royal Purple.....What do you guys think? Let the fur fly.......

i ran BM fine, and im sure your sled would do fine with it as well. i have no horror stories from it, other than the wasted money...a friend of mine used royal purple, and he really liked it. IMO a good name brand petroleum based oil will do you fine. Full synthetic or semi depending on your engine...

Don't use anything but XPS. My motor guy used to run Amsoil until he saw what it does to cranks. XPS is formulated for Rotax engines and high output 2 strokes. As a ski-doo dealer, we wouldnt warranty cranks if you didnt run XPS.

ummmm, you don't have a choice. Unless you give them the oil for free. Check the Magnusson/Moss act.

I have BM in 4 doos and 1 cat. Works well. I am happy with the results. Haven't run Amsoil, have heard good things about redline but I would rather keep my $ at my dealers instead of Schucks.
