Me too wish I was around to see it tonight! I hope Parker and the grandpa hit it rich!!
I dont miss a show... but the first show out and, play the drama music................"looks like we could blow the 1000 ounces already if we dont get the blank going" hahahaha..gotta love t.v.
I'm a miner so its very hard to watch. Not having cable makes it even harder

I agree, for some reason i think Todd Hoffman is a fudging idiot. I enjoy watching the show though.

I do love it when he gets a "feeling" they are going to find gold. He gets everyone in a huddle and they touch helmets. Pretty cheesy. But like you said, I do like to watch it every week.
Anyone else notice that it wasnt just Hoffman's that picked up a lot of Volvo equip? Noticed a clip with parker in a volvo hoe. Wonder in theres something goin on there?
Good show but a lot of bs. Kinda cheesy though. Especially when you know guys up there that actually DO make a living gold mining. Still DVR every episode, funny how that works huh?

i'm sure that the discovery channel leased all the equipment from the same dealer. it would be alot better show if they would cut all the ****ing drama bull****
Then it wouldn't be much of a show would it? It would be like a "How it's made" episode, over and over again.

I always assumed discovery was bankrolling the whole thing. Season 1, Todd Hoffman says something like "We need to find $250,000 in gold just to break even". Cut to the last episode of season 1 "Well....we found $9000 worth of gold, we'll be back next year."
If that crew had to survive on what gold the Hoffman's find, they would have starved long ago.

I am looking forward to the dynamic of splitting the crew into two separate crews (hoffman)
Cant remember the name of the guy who wants his own crew, but I hope his group gets the most gold. A 16' wide sleuce box seems better than the dinky one Todd plans to use (If it ever arrives)

At first I thought all these guys, with the exception of Dave, were ****ing idiots but then I realized they area lot smarter than I ever thought. I actually don't think the show is truly as scripted as everyone thinks. I think these morons have figured out that the most people tune in every week to see how big of idiots these guys can make themselves and when you're fat, dumb and lazy, it's a very easy task to pull off. Anyone who has ever worked in and or around any type of mining equipment knows these guys, with the exception of Dave, are clueless and they keep making the same mistakes because they are mentally as well as physically lazy but it's exactly those useless qualities that makes millions of people tune in every week. So like I said, I used to think they all were idiots but I've come to realize they are shameless more than they are stupid.

Even Dave screwed up and started digging on the wrong plot.....and he's the SMART one. Man I like this show. haha
