Goggle Bag for the Pro, are they worth it?

Does the bag stay dry even when the powder is real deep and coming in the vent on the right side?

Yes. Example: I was in centennial towards the end of february this year, got almost 3ft in town, and the snow was so deep we had to ride up from town. Way over the hood ALL day, and the bag was dry. If your goggles are really soaked, it does take some time riding hard to dry them out.

Dear Abby,

This is my first snowcheck since my 2001 sled. Haven't bought a new sled for myself since. I will have the underhood goggle bag for my new sled. Also going to have that little underseat bag as an additional accessory. I'm also pretty excited about the weight of the chassis and the belt drive. So the big question is, where should I mount my muff pot?

Signed,
Hoping for warm hotpockets.

The under hood bag is a MUST! It works awesome, plenty of room for gloves and goggles.

FYI, the instructions that come with it are not the best. The picture of the bag installed that Jonce posted is not installed correct. The upper corner of the bag has a hook on it that should be hooked behind the cast aluminum at the top of the tubes.

When the bag is installed correct it the material is nice and tight in all directions and works great.

As for the muff pot, I mount mine on the pipe just after the Y pipe. I get it in and out by just dropping the left side panle. I have seen others mount it over by or on the silencer and that will work but it does not get as hot in that location. Eric

Thanks Abby.

I put my mostly frozen TAG Storm gloves in the warmer pouch at -20. Two hours later they were toasty dry again.

Best 40 bucks you can spend on a Pro (besides gas)

Thanks, I will have to recheck my installation but I believe I did as you mentioned (not shown in pic). The pic I posted was during my 660 build and I was trying to button up all the loose ends at once (typical for any project).

I had the under the seat bag on my 2009 Dragon and on my 2011 Pro. It's a great idea that doesn't work very well. The bag is close to the heat exchanger and in deep snow or even if it's just snowing out the snow builds up around the bag melts and freezes and it's hard to get the dang zipper open and everything inside gets wet and freezes.:face-icon-small-fro I think I either gave it away or threw it away.

Can you post pics of them both?

i used the arctic cat under hood bag and ziptied it around the frame brace that runs above the can, works great and stays out of the way thaws gloves and defogs the goggles. just my $.02

It was almost $50 by the time I got the bag in hand last season. I'm not sure what kind of goggles and gloves other guys are wearing, but I had a hard time smashing both into the bag at the same time unless they were my thin uninsulated gloves and even then when I did it took forever to get them both dried out. Any type of wet gloves kept steaming the goggles as they dried.

Is the bag worth it, YES!

Could I put wet gloves and goggles in and have them both dried out riding after a couple hours in mtn powder, NO! One or the other. The bag works very well for goggles or uninsulated gloves. My real world experience.

wps and rsi both make one and they are $15. i have the rsi one and it works great. 4 zip ties and its on, didn't waste my time with the sticky mounts.

I have the under the hood bag, well worth the money. I keep my insulin (type 1 diabetic) in there, keeps it from freezing, and I keep my phone in there, battery lasts a long time when its warm!

Yep, sticky mounts lose their stick with the heat under the hood.

Has anyone tried installing the bag in their 2013? On the 13 there is no weld hole to put the rod that goes all the way across to the other bar on the carbon fiber.
