garmin maps

anybody know if i buy the north america maps for my 2, 530 hcx's ,can i put the maps on both of them, or do they have a lock code on them and i end up buying 2 maps. thanks

I use mapsource with the Topo USA map sets and they can be put on multiple GPS units.

Is the Mapsource pricey?? Where do you get it?

mapsource is free and if you are handy with torrents you can find "free" garmin maps.

But to answer your first question 1 set of maps can be put on multiple units.

I have the Garmin Topo '08. It is downloaded to the PC. This way If I go to a different area that I'm not familiar with; I can upload that area to the two Rhino 130s.
