Funny Story

Drag race? I thought you were the one to point out we were talking about powder?
I have tried to explain this to you twice now but you still don't seem to get it so I will type slower this time so you can keep up. You are quoting ENGINE horsepower and torque numbers. The torque entering the clutch in a yamaha is greater than the torque produced by the motor. This is because of the gear reduction between the crank and the clutch. THE CLUTCH SEES HIGHER TORQUE THAN THE MOTOR PRODUCES!!!!!!!So no, you are wrong, you don't need 280 horse in the yamaha to have the same torque as your 200 horse twin. If you still don't understand/believe that then do a track dyno test on an apex with the same peak horsepower as your 2 stroke. You will find the yammy to have higher torque numbers than a stock 800 2 stroke I promise (at the track where it matters!!!)

I also have a reducer on my sled. Its called a chaincase. Does this mean I have more torque than I think?

Alberta Beach Snomo Days. It was the 1st yr I had the 1160. Just threw a Team clutch on some 76 gr weights and went to see what would happen. We seen alright. Poor Yamahas. And we laughed and laughed.

So you're talking about drag racing now? LMFAO

So seeing I took my out of the box stock '03 MXZX Rev 440 (did nothing other than jet it) to Wetaskiwin and won 600 single pipe and 3rd in 500 stock, does that make me the owner of the fastest 600 on snow? Get a grip...

They must of come to Snowest for clutching advice.

Seeing you're too damn stupid to figure it out, I'll spell it out for you. Snow drags are traction, traction, traction. You have to be loose behind the ears to think that what works in snow drags, works on the hill. You've already indicated in this thread you can't make that distinction.

I can draw you pictures if that would help.

ok freak...i have to admit...this got a giggle out of me.......but don;t get comfy...you are still the biggest and baddest ret@rd that has lived on this planet...!!!!

Oh....he never said he was the fastest, just that he beat some turbo'd yamaha mountain sled (who probably spun to 3/4 track before it hooked) so he can laugh all he wants if he thinks he is pulling the wool over anyone's eyes, the guy who really doesn't get it is him. His very short posts and minimalistic detail lead you to believe other things, he kinda posts the truth on page 2 that he didn't actually win the drags, just the blew a belt. So he wasn't the fastest out there, which he never claimed though. I'm trying to get a hold of the results from the 2005 races but haven't had any luck yet.

Its funny that he is talking about drag racing mountain sleds. I still want to know why he wasn't at the BIS pulling chutes with the rest of them. After all, his sled was built for the steep and deep, not for drag racing,
Its funny that you mention powder. This sled was not made to drag race it was made for powder. DEEP POWDER.
and yet...here he is.....talking about drag racing it against a turbo'd yamaha.
Here I will put this turbo Yamaha thing in perspective for you Poo. A 280 hp turbo Yamaha has about the same torque as me and my sled is 200 lbs lighter and I think im being generous at that. How much weight would the Yamaha have to lose to beat me in a drag race?

Made for the steep and deep and able to beat T-yammies? Kinda makes you wonder why he wouldn't be at the BIS then.....

Round and round we go.

All that stuff is for posers I just like to ride have a few beer and laugh about some of the people I come across on here. Makes for an enjoyable day out.

haha! If that's what makes you feel better, just go ahead and keep telling yourself that. So the BIS is for posers now?? LOL, that's a BOLD statement to say the least. I kinda thought it was for the fastest mountain sleds in the world, at least that's who seems to show up.

Trust me - at any given time - there are way more people from here laughing at you than the other way around.....lots more.

Oh, the entertainment of all of this. LHF, how in the heck do you even find time to ride with all of the posting that you do? Seriously, you have WAY too much free time on your hands. Go ride!!!
