Last month we were sledding in allen creek in Valemount, and i think that i actually met and rode LHF's sled. it was an old mountain magic sled based off the wedge chassis had a pretty sweet airbrushed hood on it and an 1160 in it, nice sled. Then he started telling us stories about how he had out climbed Randy Swenson with it, and how he was out running turbos in drag races with it. Does any body have a picture of his sled? Im pretty curious

Although I have the only 1160 wedge on the planet im afraid I wasnt at Allen this year. Never have I said I out climbed Randy Swenson but he is well aware how MM sleds work in the DEEP snow. These sleds are not intended for dick hard snow. So 1100 you have come across an imposter as there is only 1 LONGHAIRFREAK.

Oh ya when we went racing the turbo Yamahas didnt even make the quarter finals. We all laughed.

The sled was black and blue, kinda hard to explain. We were on the lakes behind the cabin so i didn't get to see it climb anything, all hard packed. I had my dads xrs on a towrope behind my RT so we didnt venture to far as it was our second dead sled that weekend and there was 4 of us doubling on 2 sleds for a rescue mission. stayed an extra day just to get it out. When he started going on about beating turbos my dad told the guy we should untie the RT and go for a drag as my RT is not very stock either He said the sled was a hillclimber and that he should go look for his friends. Some one has to have a picture of LHF's mountain killer?

Ive always liked them MM sleds, Not to good at knowing my Polaris stuff might
of been a Gen 2. I always thought that MM built some sick ZX based sleds before the Rev came out.

Sorry I missed that headline at the Big Iron Shootout!! Pretty sure it WASN'T you that won the BIS drags but I figured for sure you'd be there since your sled is now a Turbo killer! LMAO!! Instead of giving us some backwoods bullsh!t story, where were you at the Big Iron? Surely a sled that great should put fear into the hearts of the blown 4 stroke crowd!! LOL

funny chit....there was a guy in Valemount just last weekend that told a similar story, his 11-something carbed triple in a wedgie chassis would outrun and outclimb any turbo....these guys showed up in the upstairs hallway in the Valemount hotel where we were staying (partying), after the bar closed. This dude just kept arguing and arguing that his sled was the chit, I told him to go climb Monster and take a vid....I think the guys were from the Grande Prairie AB area. I just kept laughing at him and telling him he was full of chit, he got angry and kept getting real close and arguing, told him I knew some guys that knew some guys, and might be able to line him up with Swenson (tho I doubt RS would even waste his time) and he said "bring it on..." and even got on his cell phone and said he was calling Paul from Impulse....not sure why, but he left whoever he was calling a ranting message at 2:30 am on how some yokel was saying Swenson's propane turbo would beat his sled....he was pretty angry when he left....wonder if it was the same doosh....

Are you trying to put words in my mouth? I never said my 1160 would beat all turbo Yamahas. But I will say this it has schooled some in the past and it will continue in the future.

I was really surprised that you weren't climbing with the best of them at the Big Iron. Surely a sled with enough caliber to knock off a turbo yamaha would be in the running at the Big Iron.

I'm curious - Where did the beat down on these big Yamaha's occur?? Wetaskiwin?? Vermillion?? Was this a mountain race or a straightline drag race? - clearly it would be at a sanctioned event so that the results could be published and verified. Please post up the link here so we can all go and check out the results.

Alberta Beach Snomo Days. It was the 1st yr I had the 1160. Just threw a Team clutch on some 76 gr weights and went to see what would happen. We seen alright. Poor Yamahas. And we laughed and laughed.
