I just sold my spare mountain sled
13 doo xm 800 154
Have a chance to pick up a
16 pro rmk 600 155 1 mile
For 7500.00

Been awhile since I owned a 600
I have a 17 gen4 850
Have a feeling im gonna need a spare...
What do you guys think about the 600
In the axys chassis? Fun? Worth it?

I purchased a 2017 600 for my son from a racer at a greatly reduced price and rode it a bit on break-in day. I was really impressed with the quick power and the sound of it. Obviously the chassis feels exactly like my 800 so that's a plus! His last sled was a 13 Pro 600 and the difference is night and day. Again, same as going from a Pro 800 to an Axys 800. He's 14 and has already made huge progress with the switch and he's one big smile from ear to ear. Lucky kid for sure... I don't think you can go wrong with the 6 as long as maybe you're not a 215lb+ guy wanting to make high marks, but either way, it's a very capable sled IMO.

Yep great sled as long as you are a lighter built person and don't ride high altitudes.

I would say performance would be really close to your 13 xm even though it has less power. So if that worked for you go for it.

I ride my pro from 10000-12000+. It rides just fine in the trees and meadows. I don't highmark so a 600 works nicely. Also I'm under 180 lbs. I keep up with experienced riders on 800s cuz they weigh over 200. Just gotta pin it more than an 800

I'm coming off and iq 600 and it's night and day difference in weight and throttle response

I am considering the same sled right now. I actually looked at the one I think you found was it at Fuel Powersports in Wisconsin? They have it advertised at $7500, but after all their fees its about $8400 before tax and registration.

I am coming off a 2013 Pro RMK 800 155. I really want to get into an AXYS Chassis but trying to keep under $9k out the door so an 800 is pretty much out of question.

Most of my riding is done in the trees of the UP and a trip west once or twice a year.

I am 165 without gear, so call it 180 loaded up. I think the 600 will be a good fit for me. Not a lot of info on the AXYS RMK 600 on this forum so taking what I found about the PRO chassis and assuming it only got better with the AXYS. Hope to hear some more feedback before I pull the trigger in the next week or so.

Your the right weight and ride at lower altitudes most of the time so I think it will work out just fine for you.

There geared very low don't expect to go much faster than 80 in perfect condition.

I was thinking the same thing in regards to it working better around here with the occasional trip west when I can make some clutching changes. I know it won't be an 8 but I think it will hold its own. For some reason it seems enticing to be the underdog. Haha

I have a 600 in pro chasis and 800 pro and 800 axys. The 600 is the same engine now as what is in my pro chasis. the 600 is a great option and goes almost anywhere I can get my 800. I can ride it and have fun. I think a great option for a beginner/intermediate rider.

Now you asked fun factor. It doesn't have the same lift off a bump when I pin it that an 800 does. It isn't nearly as fun for me. That is riding at 8000-10000 ft. I have geared it lower and put clutching in from TRS. with that said, the 800 pro doesn't have the same throttle response the 800 axys does, so the 800 axys is the most 'fun sled'=throttle response and easy to carve=smiles

I get stuck less than my buddies on their ski doo 800s and pro 800s. Maybe more skill, maybe the 800s just trench, whatever the reason the 600 is fine in the trees unless your one of those bro truck driving overcompensators. :face-icon-small-coo

If I found a axys 600 for 7500 I'd be all over it.

Thanks for the additional feedback. The one in Wisconsin for 7500, is a little deceiving as it has dealer prep fees and doc fees that push it up to about 8300. I think I am going to end up at $8500 with 2 year warranty locally at the dealer. Pretty stoked to get this thing. I would classify myself as an intermediate rider overall but I definitely need to get better. I want the 600 to hone my skills and not just muscle out of it everytime I get in a sticky situation.

I plan to pick it up in the next couple days and get some break in miles on it within a couple weekends and heading to the Snowys in February.

If the worst problem I have is that the snow is too deep and getting stuck....well thats a good problem to have in my book!

I was going to buy that one from Fuel and maybe turbo it but it just wasn't in the cards this year. Good luck, I am sure you'll have plenty of fun on that thing.

I just bought a new sled at Fuel. Your right with all the extra fees & registration your prob looking at 8300. Not bad place to deal with but they wouldnt throw anything extra in the deal. And be prepared to be there a while. It took longer to buy my sled than my last car....
