Fix for floppy Mountain Bars?

I am a recent Skidoo convert (coming from AC) not a fan of the mountain bar on my 06 Summit. To floppy I slow down or speed up and I'm all over the place. Any cheap mods to stiffen it up? Wrap with tubing? etc. Travis

I have installed the Polaris mountain bar on my last 4 doo's. Cost's about $35 and has saved me several times from going over the bars.

I had one sled that had a hydraulic hose used as a mountain bar. It was fairly stiff as they use steel cords in them. The ends were clean with fittings crimpped on that attatched to brackets around the bars. Worked great and never ripped off. There are many shops that will make something like this custom for you.

I've beeen replacing my customers strap with a flexible nylon unit that holds on with a couple of U-bolts. Simple and effective and cheap $25 here in Can.

I'll second the Polarid bar. Cheap, simple, looks good, and works awesome! Have done this to Yamaha's as well since their mt bar is a joke.
