Went on my first mountain trip last weekend to mcbride. It was a great trip.
Day 1 at renshaw and the weather wasn't the Best as for visability so we took it easy. The snow there was deep!!! Half way through the day when we were at the cabin, this guy with a brand new pro fired up his sled to find out that the throttle was iced open and needless to say the thing took right off (buddy still had the pull rope in his hand) and my 99 600rmk stopped his sled dead in its tracks!!! Just something else to watch for on the pro!!! I'm just glad no one was between the two sleds (there was 40 to 60 feet between the 2 sleds). Day 2 we went to belle and it was a nice blue sky day. Lots of snow and it wasn't as difficult of a mountain and the group seemed to enjoy it more as we were not having to dig someone out every ten minutes how ever I did find myself in the trees once. Any way, love my pro and can't wait to get back to the deep and steep!! I'm just doing a little tweaking with the suspension and putting the skis to the narrowest stance for next trip!!! Here are a few pics of the trip

Holy crap!!!! Doesn't Polaris still put in the micro switches on the throttle block to stop the ignition from completing it's path?

I guess to clarify, he said that there was ice build up on the throttle cable at the thumb and there was a chunk of ice holdin it 3/4 open. I was more concerned that it was my spare sled that a buddy was riding that stopped his sled. I was just getting off my other sled and I heard this guys sled fire up and take off so I looked over my shoulder and I said holy f@ck there is no one on that sled and there was this guy chasing it down by foot mobile and then bang hit a sled. I looked at my buddy and kinda laughed and then he said isnt that your other sled and I said ah **** it is. LOL

Me and a buddy are heading out to BC tomorrow morning for my 7th and 8th day of mountain sledding this year! Snow reports are good, avy bulletins are moderate, and my super duty is full of fuel! braaaaap

We'll be on the road by 6:30. Stopping at the Petro Can in Jasper for breakfast. We may not go up to the cabin. We'll likely head up the creek at 25 towards the ant hills.

Ok well, sounds like we might be out there before you, Keep an eye out for the blue 900. I'll be riding with a white M8 with black skull airbrushing on the hood.

Well it hasn't snowed 1 single inch of new snow since we rode 3 weeks ago... what a total disapointment of a start to the season.

I got the speedo sensor and control block replaced on my 900 and am back to full fucntion on the highbeams and speedo:D:D

On a slightly different note, once it does start snowing again (if it ever does) I got a plan to split the miles on my aging 9... at now over 4K I don't want to run that thing totally into the ground by the end of the year, so I picked up a new ride to help split the miles and ride as a back-up and on the lower snow days.....:D:D

09 700 RMK 155 with 101 miles on it:D:D
