First Ride Reports!

Got sleds everywhere over here. Working on the three we are taking up tomorrow. I got two more in the other building and Kreg's 900 is over there. I have a fleet fit for Guido. I can hit trees and just grab another sled and keep going.

Snow was amazing. Tons of people up there too but lots of fresh tracks to ride. Sled worked 100% better with the new Float Evols on it. I did have a little trouble trying to breath at 11,000 feet. Got stuck a few times and so did everyone else. The Artic Cat test guys were up there riding the new sleds all the was from MN and we got to talk to them after we loaded up at the end of the day.

Nice Status Dan....lol

lol, I did it last year too but he never bites :boxing:

Well...... the bonus for me is... where I'm going to ride on thurs and fri, guys have been spending entire days just trying to break trail into the alpine lol. :face-icon-small-ton

Very nice pics, Definitely jealous:beer;... We'll have rideable snow probably by next weekend if it keeps coming as predicted.

Mark and I spent 13 hours today ( - lunch and 1 trip for parts) working on my sled. I got the sucker cleaned thoroughly, all 4 new motor mounts, and got the motor, tank and plastics back on... hit a small snag and need to order a new oil cable and torque stop (and wait for my new fuel filter to come in) and she'll be ready to rip......

Word to the wise... never let your Y-pipe gaskets leak as bad as mine did.... the 2 of us spent nearly 2 hours with degreaser, oven cleaner, simple green, and 2 entire rolls of paper towels today:eek: Needless to say it looks like a new sled under the hood now though:D:D

Oh ya, Dan and Sean.... you remember how I was having problems with high belt heat in Revy this past winter.... You should see 3 of the 4 motor mounts:eek: Can you say S.H.O.T.!!!!!!!!! LOL:face-icon-small-sho

I will start my own thread with lots of pics probably tomorrow.

it was a sweet day !Im still jonesing for those big pow days WOlf creek is a blessing to have in your back yard . Sure does make make you appreciate late winter when the riding comes down the mountain . sleds and riders alike run much better at 8500 than 12,000 ft. Poor zane was sucking up his share of what little oxygen is available ! Flatlanders what can you do!:becky:

Looks like you guys had fun.Living in Iowa sucks. So Kreg was on a pro what one did Zane ride 975 ?

My 975 is up near RMK2112 still so it will be a couple weeks before I can get it. I rode my 05 900 with the Timbersled suspension. It worked great, unfortunately like Polzinhunter said I was sucking air and just pretty much sucking because I couldn't breath. We all had a lot of fun though, I just need to start working out a little more so I can actually hold on to my sled.:faint:

Zane i do the same after t day start working out so when i get out west its not as bad Living at 1200 feet just sucks Hard to leave good job and the get wife away from her mom. hopefully we can meet up this winter and ride some time.

It's Here!!!
Tomorrow morning a group of six including myself are heading to Blue River BC for some insanely deep early season snow, should be a great trip... expect pics in 24 hours.

I'm back home, what a first trip!

Day one, we spent the day attempting to bust trail up to the alpine.... failed, too much snow. Had an excellent time trying lol.
On day two we hit a closer more accessible area with less snow (not my choice!) but we had a good day tearing up the hillsides.
overall, probably the best first trip of a season ever!

There should have been WAY more pics and vids, but were we busy forever digging out sleds haha
