First Girl Over the Monster Chute ......

The marks in the chute were Shane walking down to help Meg on her first attempt. Thats actually really the reason im so proud of Megan is because she has tried and been spit out a few times but still never lost her drive to pull it. This really has been a long time coming for her. Megan has rode her pants off to get over the difficulties of her pigy sled and pulled allot of build up chutes (training chutes as we call them) not forgeting the cost and time in the building a capable chute climber. You earned this one couz!

It's also worth noting that Megan's climb and Amy's excellent attempt were in deep snow conditions, not the set up spring snow that you will start seeing pictures of at this time of year. The skill and ability required to pull these climbs in deep snow conditions far exceeds doing it in conditions that are so favorable that stock sleds can climb anywhere (hero snow).

Nice job! Not sure, but it almost looks like somebody hiked down the chute marking the perfect line. Anybody know what made those marks?

Haha yep my first try I was DENIED haha, was hitting bumps the size of sleds at the bottom of the chute and totally got tossed high side of the chute, rolled out of it... picked a better line, tried again and showed Monster whos boss haha

Best part of the climb....when the guys ran over to me to give me hugs and high fives! We do this stuff for the love of the sport and the friendships that it builds, nothing else

Haha, I will leave that kind of fancy stuff to Laird... I was so happy when I hit the top I fell off my sled! I CANT imagine being so calm and with it enough to put the thumbs up.. Lairdo is something else, we all like to refer to him as a "freak" but in the best possible way EVER haha

The vid can be seen in Krazy Canadian 4, possibly the new womens Octane film and possibly Boost 6..

The light wasnt that flat when I pulled it, I think the pics makes it look darker than it was, and the walked in line honestly didnt help all that much only because I was so concerned with making my turns that I didnt even see it! My mind kinda blanked out to the surroundings and i just felt the turns as I went (sounds weird I know but cant really describe it well haha)

As for trying the chute in July.. be neat to say I did it but no thanks! I dont need to garage sale Pinky when I can climb it in deep snow! haha Be neat to see it that late in the year, see what your really climbing over!
