Tried mine out wed day and they were awsome in full sun, It was sad I kept hoping for a cloud to come by and I could see how they were in flat light. I am sure they will be awsome. I too did not get mine in quite right as I can see light around the nose piece, I admit I did not spend much time trying to fit it in as I was excited to try them out. I will sit down with a cold one and get it in right. THANKS producing a outstanding product for a fair price

Short straps work with the 509's but is a pain to take off and on the gog....I just ordered the short straps to see if they work better which I'm sure they will.

Also ordered the polarized lenses, can't wait to try them.

damn, just tried the 509s for the first time today! great!!!! better then any other goggle i have used. now the question is, whats the best way to take out the dang lenses with out smugging them all up! i have some polerized sitting here and i dont wanna smugge up my old ones taking them out! whats the trick???
thanks, jayson

I tried mine out for four days last week...I like the lens but cannot get it to fit right around the nose piece, any tips or advice is welcomed. Are these the wrong frames for this lens? I like the lens but will put the old one back in if I can't make it fit right...it's too cold in AK for air leaks in your goggles :(

They are the right ones, they are just very difficult to get in. Try starting with the nose first.

Just got my polarized lenses yesterday, had the same problem installing, had an email ready to send to Tom then I figured it out. Get the lense all the way in like your pic, then put you finger in where there nose would be and press up toward the tops up the lens, yes hard and it will snap in to place. I thought I was going to snap the entire lense but it worked and fits great.

Yes, that is the best way of doing it. VERY hard to get in but they do go.

IMO the 509 lenses are still easier to install then other brands I've tried.

I am worried about this as well. My goggles are like those above and I sure don't want to break my new polarized lenses.

The new polarized lenses are a bit taller than the 08 lenses, so they are a snug fit in the 08 frame. They do fit however, as I've installed several. The key is to first place both sides of the lens securely into each side of the goggle frame. Then snap the top into place and finally snap the bottom into place LAST. Here is an install video showing how this is done.

Because of the slight size difference between the 08 & 09 frames, the polarized were designed to fit perfectly in the 09 frame first and foremost. They do fit in the 08 frame but it takes a bit more effort to install. I'll see if I can't come up with a fix to make these an easier install in the 08 frame.

Ok, we have a quick fix that makes these lenses an easier fit on the 2008 (non nosemask) models. I added an option to the order page to specify which goggle you have. All new orders for the 2008 model will automatically come prepped for the 2008 frame. If you already purchased the lens and have a 2008 frame, first watch the install video above. If you aren't having luck with the install, please PM me and we'll get you a polarized lens that is ready for the 2008 frame.

For hose guys asking if q straps can be used. Just cut the stock strap to the right length , remove the strapping from your qstraps and thread the 509 straps in . I have done it to both my 509s and my oakleys. Im gonna have to watch that install vid....PITA lens swapping:mad:
