Its funny when tubo yamahas showed up a few years ago they were let into all mod classes against sleds that had less power for sure and all that was heard was wow. Now that some of the 2 stroke turbos and so on are getting in the same ball park a new class is needed or the conversation turns into, welll are they reliable or will they run forever. Pretty hard to use the word stock with any type of turbo sled, open mod still seems like the proper place for any turbo 2 or 4 stroke. And the 2 stroke turbo that is refered to is made up of a hodgepodge of old parts thrown onto a thrashed out 900 cat motor that has been at the fernie drags every year since it was new. that is not a single purpose motor but a learning experiance in use. This is not knoking mike or any of the very fast yamahas out there, it is just pointing out that a turbo anything is very out standing in the hands of the right tuner.

Since when is C16 a banned fuel???? And if you want me to come to your Fernie Drags, you should advertise them so that more than the locals know... There is a race schedule on rebelsled.com and if you notice on the schedule the biggest race in Western Canada was on the same weekend and I was there. Next year if you want to try, I will be there Mr. Mike. If you want the real scoop, call Dean at Alpine and he can give you the low down on what I have so you can be ready. This isn't no hill climb.

hey dumb ***. dean was with us and thats where the fuel report come from, if u run c-16 then u can run there. if your so fast mr Dumbass come to the big dawg shootout in 3 weeks(early notification) they have a great drag hill there. the fernie drags were well put on.
I have a drag sled, not a hill sled. It is not made for the mountains. If I could I could ride it there, I would. But not this year. Sorry to disappoint you, lol.

hey night, i never said he wasnt fast all i said we heard he was running vp import and u cant run it in fernie, if he runs c-16 great show up. u have seen our sleds where? im not cocky show up, have fun, c who wins, i have a mountain sled but i still show up to a FLAT drag course for fun. if u go back a few posts, all that was said was about the fuel. and i will put my money where my mouth is.

Correct spelling is "carcinogen" - cancer causing.
Probably MTBE (methyl tertiary butyl ether) in the fuel,

that would make it illegal or restricted.
Also, IF you are running this crap remember it does become airborn when burned and gets shared with everyone around. Just a thought.
Smelling the propalean in the air it leaves a bad feeling.This stuff will pick up about 5% on the dyno. It carries extra oxygen to the combustion chamber like nitro.I think what is being missed here is the potential this compound has to kill you.
from what i have seen that alpine fsj rx1 would leave the alpine m10 set ups in the dust so i think it would be a real good race against that cat.

lol i guess u dont know what your talking about, irmens sled that he raced in fernie has no m-10, and i guess u dont know how fast lindermans cat is.

wasnt that turbo that he was running was up in fsj gettin asphalt raced all summer? im not saying that fsj rx1 could beat lindermans but it give that lindermans sled a better run for its money imo...
