going to go up to castle area tomorrow.... heard t here was 35 cm at the base of castle mtn and heard more up top. gonna have the no BS snow report tomorrrow.

there is enough snow to trail ride and found spots up top that were up to my knee. guessing about 2 feet. probably not going to do any crazy hillclimbing or sidehilling.

Hows it looking compared to last year around morrissey and elkford? Had to go to Golden last year at Christmas due to lack of snow in Elk Valley. Hope theres going to be more or at least some this year.

Was out in York Creek and Castle areas on the Quad all weekend, Most of the snow is gone. It was 19 on Saturday with 60 plus wind and 15 yesterday with same. Today it is cooler with wind. Their is Maybe 10-12 inches of snow left in certain areas. We went pretty high in some areas and that was it. Getting icy as well.

Just wondering if anyone had been out riding in the pass over the last couple of days?

i was out there on friday( not riding) at sparwood and i only seen 2 sleds but i'm assuming u gotta go a bit farther into bc for snow its pretty bare in the pass, we had more layin around in cypress hills, saskatchewan. i heard u could maybe attempt a little putting around up by castle. but i surprised to see the pass itself so bare even looking at the tops

i was out in sparwood last friday and it was snowless, hardly anything even on the tops, heck in the saskatchewan cypress hills we even had 10" of snow mind you i did see a couple sledders out there so there could be some snow farther into BC or maybe up by elkford? I have heard castle has about a foot. and i would bet money you could pick your way around down at corbin or harveys creek, 9mile, barns and elliot lake etc
