OK I have an 06 900 Switchback and after looking at your install instructions my set-up is different. My throttle cable doesn't split to an oil cable like that but is just a single cable to the TB, no oil cable. I know this as I just replaced my throttle cable.

Was there different set-up's on the SB's?

that is what his cable is. on your set up now it is a single cable to the tb and then a short oil cable from the tb to the oil pump and that cable takes a crap all the time. his cable replaces both of them with just his cable. one goes to the tb and the other goes to the oil pump like most of the older sleds.

If you don't have this cable on your 900/700 GET ONE. The install is really simple and well worth it. My oiler cable was coming apart and I had no clue. Throttle lever is also a lot more easy to push in now.
