Ok Thanks, Will get back to you. Hope to have my sled back together sooner then that and my cables are still working but if they look worn will be ordering a set and will have to just put them in some other time.It will be about two weeks until I get the next batch of extended cables.
You can use the long cable with a riser less than 4". The extended cable is $85.

Is there an Extension for the regular cables then?I do a few regular length cables left.

Just got mine today, now to get it installed, I don't have a clutch puller so I hope I can do it with clutch installed. Thanks FBF!
I don't think the cable is under any tension - I adjusted it to rest at the idle stop then tightened it. There is no 'play' in the cable. At wot the throttle bodies open to max and at rest there is no play in the throttle lever at the handle bar and the throttle body rests on the idle screw. What am I missing here?
You don't have to remove the primary just to find out if your old one is T-U.
Use a flashlight and have a look below the throttle body, you will be able to see the oil pump lever. Hit the throttle from idle to wot and release it while looking at the oil pump lever. If the lever does not come back all the way back and seems to stick at different places every time you go to wot back to idle, your oil pump cable has suffered the same faith as all the rest of them and needs to be replaced. I have to say that I did not attempt to change the cable without taking the primary off and I don't know if it can be done???

Sounds like you're not missing anything if you have a bit of slack in the cable and the TB is set against the idle stop but just to make sure, give the cable a bit more slack and try to turn the TB pulley towards the idle screw to see if the rpms goes down a bit, if it doesn't then I would suggest you readjust your idle screw.
