Factory track tension. really???

I use a dumbbell and use the factory settings. I found that if the track is loose to the point that it will still not ratchet but not to the factory settings it shoots straight down when it leaves the drivers. IMO this ruins the attack angle and could causes trenching.

Thanks for all of the opinions. i also think that running it just tight enough not to ratchet might not be tight enough. just don't know how to prove it. need a high speed camera watching the track come off the drivers while riding and in various snow conditions. that's not going to happen for me though and might be more effort than what it is worth...:face-icon-small-hap i've got an email into chris at carl's. we'll see what he says and take it into consideration.

Rob,

i'm not trying to insult you and never have. i've never questioned the quality of your product and when i talked with you before and after i bought a set of your better boards your customer service was great (which is really nice to see these days). but you do A LOT of product placement and obviously i'm not the only one to notice. i don't fault you or criticize you for trying to get your product out. in fact i am quite happy for you that you have managed to successfully sell a quality product to our market group. very hard thing to do and i would never slam a small business owner who obviously works hard (as i am one myself). with that said, the product placement gets to be a little much at times (this probably depends more on my mood for the day) and if i have any criticism it would be that you take things pretty personal if anyone says anything that is less than stellar about your product. although i understand the blood, sweat, and tears your continually poor into your business in order for it to survive you have to let the unjustified negative comments and/or complaints roll off. obviously address the legitimate issues but it comes across as petty when fire back at someone who has what amounts to a minor critique. enjoy. oh, and as an afterthought, you do have one of the nicest looking (and probably performing from what i have read) IQ's ive seen. subtle but nasty!
