Ethanol free gas stations?

I picked up 4 55 gallon barrels yesterday, I'm looking to stock up on some gas for riding while I've got a few bucks. Anyone have a station they could recommend? Last thing I want is 220 gallons of gas that has some water in it, or something like that. A decent price would help too :D

Since you are in Fraser, check the Quick Stop. It used to be run by the same owners as the one in kremmling, now the Short Stop. I do know that they are still running Ethanol free gasoline. Kum and Go was the oxygenated crap, as does the Buggy Stop, but there octane rating is higher than posted. I spoke with the manager there and he said the actual rating is 2 points higher than what is posted. 85 = 87, 87= 89 and 91=93. He does that for the very reason that sledders need high octane.

Av gas is not oxygenated either. You can get that at either airport in Grand county

Also run de-icer in it, no matter what. With some of the older stations that still run "normal" fuel, the tanks tend to take on water.

Good to know, Thanks PJ!

I did run AV gas in my turbo Mitsubishi for a few years, I'll have to check out the prices at the airport? Nothing like the smell of leaded gas burning in the morning

The fuel listed is 85, 87 and 91 octane. It is just that at altitude they respond about 2 points higher. Stations don't usually sell 93 out here because it is not needed on a regular car for knock control like it is at sea level.

The same reason you can get away with a lower octane higher up than you can down low.
