does anyone have specs on what exactly this kit is made up of?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NEW-...owmobileQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories#ht_1878wt_1165 spring rates, helix angles etc. my sled came with this kit installed, but EPI wont give you any specs on it. on the helix all i can see is 42 then the rest of the part number is drilled off, looks like there may be a 1 or 7 in there after the 42. but how am i supposed to know which way to go if i wanna make clutching changes, im currently running the helix on the X ramp, but like i said i dont know what the angles are on the dual set of ramps

Epi are idiots..only indydan and Carls can get away with that since they do custom motors..all about marketing ..buy a new one with stamped #'s ;)

Well....Glen Erlandson is no idiot....but he has since sold the company and when I could talk to him directly, he was a wealth of knowledge. When you buy a kit, from anyone, proprietary helix angles and spring rates are not published. But there's a wealth of knowlege on this forum.....what do you have and what do you want it to do??

That is just what he is trying to figure out so he can see which way to go as his numbers are stamped out.

I feel I could use a lil more topend pull. Power seems to plane off pretty quick. But I got a ton of track spin. Im installin 210 studs tonite, so we'll see how that helps. But my sled came with this EPI kit and I have no idea of what the spring tensions and helix angles are, and epi wont tell me, so if I want to make a change I don't know what my starting point is therefore I don't know what changes to make! Every other clutch mfg publishes their specs, I highly doubt epi is onto something that nobody else is already doing, so why the secrecy!

They do that so you call them and they sell you another kit and you still don't have any idea what that setup would be...

Do you have an SLP pipe

What length track..

Any detailed info like that and conditions u ride in and we can easily get u started

Sounds kind of like what Kurt's Polaris told me when I asked them for help with clutching. Since I didn't buy it from them they refused to share any information with me. All this does is piss you off and lower the odds of you doing any future business with them.
