any updates on snow? Not super concerned with current conditions (feb 3 arriving) but in general is the average snow or below average for the Madres?
Enough snow in madres or battle area?

That doesn't sound so good!
Called out to the trading post in Encampment, 6ft of base and they just recently got a foot up top, but not good riding yet, still rocks showing.
There is nowhere near six foot, it's been three weeks since the last big storm and the snow has compacted a lot! Rocks trees and tons of crap to hit.
I wish there was mOre than six feet. Our snow pack is at 65% of average and all of the local business are suffering.
Rode there yesterday and there wasn't no foot of new snow. Seen alot of people up there friday and the popular areas are getting torn up fast. I banged out some drainages and had a good time but Battle needs snow for sure.
We were gonna leave the 23rd but we are gonna wait, not gonna waste a trip riding on hard snow and rocks.

It's going to be good! Both mnt ranges are getting hit hard still and it's suppose to stay socked in until Saturday am. Snotels are showing 10-15" new. So if you know how the snotels work you'll know that when you go over the top at the Madres it will be double that.
Heading there in the morning for 4 days with a ton of people. Customer appreciation ride on Saturday. Won't be anything left. By Monday. Sorry

Shively hardware in Saratoga and the gas station in Riverside/Encampment both have them.

4 avalanches in two days. Was very sketchy snow was setting up quickly.
Best 4 days of sledding I've had in a couple years. Rode with Keith Curtis and Dave Norona. Great riders and great fun.
Dcturbo are u the one with the smashed front end on your xm? I am the guy on the red xp that help u get unstuck in the trees on Friday.

Wasn't me. I didn't smash a front end on a XM until Sunday. Good news it wasn't even my sled. I did break my battery though.
