EMERGENCY - no spark!!

Ok supposed to be leaving for trip to Grand Mesa tomorrow afternoon. Got clutch as set up after a few days (another issue but resolved) and loaded sled up in back of truck lst night. Sat outside last night (it was below 0) and then went to friends house to load sled onto trailer this evening. Will not start at all. There is no spark. So now I am back at work because now I have to get done what I was going to do tomorrow morning and I have truck with sled in shop where it is heated. Any suggestions on what could be the problem? I was talking to Big John and he suggested it may be the stater. So tomorrow morning I need to find a dealer that can get it in ASAP and look at it.

At the risk of stating the obvious make sure that your kill switch is not depressed (done that).

The problem isn't going to be finding a dealer to pull your flywheel and then stator which is easy to do yourself BTW if you have a basic gear puller (can be had at Harbor Freight for about $15.00), it's gonna be getting hold of a replacement stator before you have to leave if that is indeed the problem.

Yes I shoud have also posted the obvious I did check the kill switch. I actually checked it multiple times thinking it would be it. Also checked to make sure no condesation on tether mount. I think dealers open at 9-9:30 around here so I will be on the phone. Even if I get it to a dealer and they don't have the part but I need to drive across town to get it I will.

Ok been up since 4:30am yesterday now but I got sled in where I work last night and let it warm up and now it started this morning. I am assuming that something froze up. Any suggestions on what it may have been so I can maybe avoid it in Grand Mesa? Will not have a 70 degree shop to let it sit in at night? Can the stater be effected by temperature?

I have had a kill switch not work in the cold. It was stuck on the run position though but I had to choke my engine off for a couple of days. Warmed up and the kill switch worked flawlessly again.

if you end up breaking off your dimmer switch is will eventually end up getting condensation in your control box on the pto side of your sled. if you get condensation past the dielectric grease in the connections, it will prevent it from firing. sometimes it will shut down while riding. if you need to pull the housing apart with a T20 torx and pull the harness for your dimmer and hand warmers. It's a dark and cold ride, but it's better walking.
