electrical problem

so today while riding my hand heaters stop working as did the digital display.
Then the sled starting bogging down at WOT.
Discovered that the wiring loom had started melting up near the heater plugs.
I got the sled home and pulled apart all the wires,fixed them up and started the sled every thing came back to life.
Now the weird thing when I turn the heaters on the digital display stops working. Anyone had this problem??

sounds like your heaters are shorted out under your grips..

if everything works fine when they are off, its the warmers..

replace them, and use the High-Powered grip heaters from RSIRacing.com

Pull hooks if you have them almost out (bolt) tap with hammer to unseat.
A little compressed air under the grips and your there.
Also air to put back on!! Ck old heaters while your there.
