So my girl and I want to burn up some time share points this winter and were checking a few options out,one place that popped up was the wolf creek Lodge.Anybody got any opinion and since I have never ridden Utah, was wondering what the riding is like around there?Thank you for any help!Good sleddin this year!

Eden is a beautiful area but sits in a boxed valley. Have to take a canyon out any way ya go. 35 min. Away is Monte cristo, ok area but more easy does it riding. Other areas are uintas, 1.5 hours to north slope. Bountiful is 45-50 min. Logan area is 2 hours.
If I am not mistaken, wolf creek is worldmark. There is a worldmark in bearlake (garden city) I think would give you much better access to riding. I know they have worldmarks toward heber city/ park city that would be a better option too.

a few miles north of there you can unload and ride towards Avon. Not amazing riding, but very close.

Monte Cristo is a great area to ride, especially if you're taking your girlfriend/wife with you. There is a pretty good trail system if that's your style or there is plenty of off trail area you can handle. Parking will cost you around $8 (don't know for sure, I usually buy a season pass). Monte often gets labled too easy or tame, but venture off the beaten path a little bit, you won't be disappointed:present:. elevation for monte is between 6,000 and 10,000 ft (not exact but close). Any questions feel free to pm me.

Thanks for the info,we are pretty excited for sure.My girl is checking into montecristo area as we speak..Finally going to be riding my xp turbo this season so looking forward to the utah powder!!!

There are plenty of pucker places at Monti, and the surronding areas Jed you gotta come logging with us this year!

But like all the other fellers said, it has a great trail system too...I think?

Ya, not really looking for any trail riding, more technical boondockin and climbing...not sure how my girl is gonna follow...but thats the point most the time!

Let us know when you pick a date. I'm sure someone here can get you headed in the right direction.

Monte is the place for you. You can play in the trees while she follows on the trail...

There are a few places on Monte that I like to ride but they are to the west not the east.
Monte goes like this............Parking lot crazy busy> Oh ya and I had to pay first:face-icon-small-con> trail, trail, aspen trees, aspen trees, bumps, powerlines, little monte(posers hangout) lots of parking lot dwellers with their hoods up> Shortcut to curtis (fun)> big cornice (fun)> beer/whiskey area (fun sometimes) then rinse and repeat on the way back.

Lots of trail and single track in the trees for a days ride. Now I realize that is only one small area of Monte but seems like that alot. I have had many fun days there, but if I have the option to ride coalville, tonys, franklin, providence, over monte then that is an easy debate.:face-icon-small-coo

If you go on the weekdays you can hear a pin drop out there. It is $5.00 to park or buy the pass ($???).
It would be a good pace for you to start, it sounds. Also as posted by 1Mex you can head west for some other terrain.
Post when you are going and maybe we can show ya around.
