Pretty sure I smoked mine. Now from what I have heard the main cause of this is the regulator going tu, correct? If so is there a better regulator to buy? And does anybody know how much these two things cost? Thanks

What year is your sled? Understand Polaris is warrantying 09 & 10's. There is a new regulator believe babbits has VR for about 120 on line ECU about 370 plus freight.

How many miles did you have when it blew? I have an 08 D8 with about 1100 miles. It blew last March on the day before our last day of riding. Luckily for me, the Polaris extended was good until June. I have read on here somewhere that Polaris is getting their regulators from a different supplier now.

mine just went tonight, hope your right on the polaris warrantying the 09-10 D8's VR and ECU.......
guys..go to your dealer..ask them to ask polaris to warranty them..its on a case by case..but..its a known issue that they fail..and ..maybe polaris will step up..they have for a lot of guys on the dragons..and it doesnt hurt to ask...
also, before you go throwing a ecm and a new regulator in it...test the stator and make sure its not screwed up..so you dont fry another ecm and regulator..also..any 6-7-or 800 ecm from 08-10 will work...just need the dealer to put the right map on it...(new ones come blank and have to be flashed too)
