drop brackets???

Neither, Drop brackets suck. I am the only one on this forum that feels this way. I really think they ruin the deep snow handling of the sled. Now if you don't ride deep snow all the time then maybe they are ok. And I bet they are GREAT for spring snow riding.

Trapper - can't tell you which ones are better as I just finished putting on the SJ drop brackets last night. However, I will give you some advice - don't waste your time trying to pull off the stock bearings from the axel (which is part of the process of putting on the SJ kit). Take a grinder with a cutting wheel to them and chop those SOB's right off. I spent 2 days trying to pull/hammer them off; then spent 10 min cutting them off. You don't need the bearing for the SJ kit anyway.

SJ kit takes a while to get to you; order ASAP if you decide to go that route.

Feel free to PM me with any questions.

Rixster,,, did you mess with the rest of the suspension after the install? If you didn't then ya, drop brackets don't do much. I did this back in the mid 90tie's with the same results, until I messed with the front arm pressure and even though it was only a 136" track the sled went really well.

You're not the only one, we didn't run drop brackets on our stock 1M suspensions. We only run them now to get track clearance to put the M-series suspension in the 1M.
