Matryx Chassis Drop and Roll

Still plenty of adjustment for track tension, even with the driveshaft moving back that much? Do you think bending or breaking of the driveshaft/drivers will be an issue at all with them being more exposed?
Yes, the bigger drivers keep the axle in the middle of the rail. Roughly 4.5'' larger in circumference

Being only 1.5'' more "exposed" than stock I don't think it will be an issue. Remember, the track is turning at 40 mph with tall paddles, more than likely you'll run right over that obstacle.

I thought about that. If the drivers were that much bigger you wouldn't be gaining any clearance.
Stock driver size is 6tooth, with a 3.25 track there is less than 1/2'' of clearance, not much room for snow evacuation. We designed this to accommodate 7t 3.5 pitch drivers and have an inch of clearance in the front of the tunnel.

Kit comes complete 7 tooth drivers and all?
The kit includes everything to move the driveshaft. We do have an option to modify the stock side structure or a full billet version. Both versions include a TKI Belt drive, choice gearing. Drivers are not included.

What gearing are you running in the picture above? The dog leg in the belt almost touches.

Will lower gearing fit?
Yes, lower gearing will fit.

Gearing Calculators tell us that clutches shifted to a 1:1 track speed will be 72 mph with 24/63 and 7t 3.5 drivers, very close to stock QD2. Dropping down to a 23 top gear will drop track speed down to 69mph. Smaller than a 23 isn't really recommended by Gates. I believe TKI made a two piece bottom gear that was larger than 63 (can't make any promises there). Using 6tooth drivers with 23/63 gearing will give a 60mph track speed. One thing to keep in mind is that you want the drive belt to be about .75'' to 1.25'' from the outside edge of the primary sheave to ensure the belt isn't slipping when pulling the hardest.

It’s amazing what just a D&R can do for a sled. Cat added only a D&R to the 17’ mtn Cat. It was a similar change that Avid is doing here. Did a lot of testing with the 16’ vs. 17’ cat. Pretty much identical sleds, but the 17’ had the D&R. It was amazing how much difference it makes. If you wanna see the comparison of the matryx vs catalyst chassis watch the end of this video.

The previously posted video mirrors exactly what we've actually seen on the snow. An improved attack angle, 250% more clearance for snow evacuation and track ballooning due to centrifugal force, and less rolling resistance. This product could possibly put you ahead of the times... Maybe a 2030 Polaris???
The snow is starting to stack up and our testing is getting more intense. These early season conditions give us the chance the abuse our products! Enjoy our latest..

Here's a couple pictures measuring attack angle. Both sleds are Khaos configured (same rails and limiter strap). Comparing our drop and roll with 7t drivers to a
stock driveshaft location and stock drivers we see a 30% steeper angle! We know from experience that a smaller attack angle will give the snowmobile an easier "Ramp" to climb.

Think of this example: You make a 2 ramps and set them on the shop floor. One ramp has a greater than 45 degree slope, one ramp has a less than 25 degree slope. Which ramp will the snowmobile drive up and go FORWARD? Which ramp will need a ski pull to get up?
